TestorsEnamel 1/4 Oz Bottle Flat White

As the title suggests, I painted the front sight post on my VZ-2008 and was pleased with the results. The coating hasn't faded or flaked off yet since I applied it over a year ago. If you let the bottle sit for long even without disturbing it then the contents will begin to separate, as pictured in my photos. To get contents back to even distribution shake bottle for 20 seconds to a minute. Here was my procedure for painting front sight: 1.) Remove front sight post from front sight block (2.) Decrease and clean front sight post with isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) and dry off with paper towel (3.) Evenly apply Testors paint with Q-tip to front sight post (4.) Let front sight post dry for 24 hours (5.) After 24 hours has elapsed carefully screw in front sight post being sure not to mar the newly applied coating. Afterwards, you may adjust your front sight post but always use a non marring adjustment method as most steel tools will scrap the coating off.

I bought this and orange for increasing the visibility on some of my gun sights. I bought white for the front and orange for the rear. (AVOID THE ORANGE!) The white is a fantastic product and had good coverage with one application. As recommended by other reviews, I used Sally Hansen hard as nails clear coat nail polish as a final coat over the paint once it was dry to preserve the finish. The orange even after several applications dries to a dull orange that is hard to see and is useless for using in a gun sight application. Bottom line I was very happy with the white and it works well for what I bought it for. The quest continues for a product in orange that works. While I gave the white a 5 star the orange got a 1 star.

Wow, when did I last see a bottle of Testors' paint? When I was a teenager building plastic models? I bought this to paint the rear of a front pistol sight, and it's worked great. I used to have dozens of these little bottles for model work long ago. So there's a real wave of nostalgia just seeing and holding this product. The glass, the metal cap -- exactly like they used to be, which is remarkable in and of itself. Not replaced by some Chinese knock-off of dubious quality. Excellent quality paint, as it always has been. Very convenient size.

It's Testors! How could it be bad?

I have been looking to color fill the engravings on my AR lower. I went to a couple of hobby shops and the big W but was not able to find Testors so Amazon I went and found it. Shipping was quick and packaged properly. Items worked great and got the results I was looking for.

Testors is a fine paint. The colors are true and it is easy to handle. On small items, I recommend a small brush. If you are looking for a water soluble paint this isn't it, but it did clean up easily. I recommend a bigger bottle of thinner than the size of this bottle.

The front sights of my firearm was completely gone. I used this product with a thin paint brush from my child's art set, and perfection! The front sight is now brighter than before and after several months I've had no issues.
