Quick delivery and perfect performance. Glad I got the 6 Quart size.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I love it. Reminds me of the one I cranked as a kid. Quick delivery and set up was simple. Made ice cream on day one!Noise level:Acceptable. The hand crank was a great option.Freeze quality:Had ice cream in a little over 30 minutes! Ease of cleaning:Easy to disassemble and clean. Should be good for years to come.

Good purchase
I bought this to use on Independence Day. There are many plastic parts but it worked as expected. Initially we needed to add some water in the ice and salt to get it to spin. Once it started spinning it worked fine. We will only be using this once a year and I expect this to work for many years. The vanilla recipe was delicious.

Ice cream maker - electric or crank
This is the perfect size (6 quarts). It’s electric and actually comes with a crank handle. I love this freezer!

It works better than expected.
This is not a high end ice cream maker, but for the money it works better than I expected and has some nice features. Initially it seemed that most of the parts that came with the freezer were lightweight and cheaply made. I like the fact that it comes with an electric motor AND manual crank. The wooden tub is substantial and everything fits well. But the bottom line question is - does it make good homemade ice cream? The answer is - it really does! Our family has made ice cream for years but when the last maker wore out, we didn’t want to drop $300-500 for the top of the line. I’m happy with purchase and hoping it lasts our family for several years.

Poor quality product, poor customer service, terrible value
I purchased this to replace the wooden bucket style ice cream maker that my husband had for over 30 years (brand is no longer made). This seemed like a good replacement, and I figured with the warranty it would be a safe choice. We soaked the bucket for 24 hours, and thought we were ready to have homemade ice cream again. Nope! The bucket leaks so badly that you can't get the ice cream to freeze, even after turning for over an hour! I contacted customer service, who referred me back to Amazon. I replied that I was past the return window, and had been told to contact the company. Was asked for original invoice, and photos/video of the leaking, photo of the model number on the bottom of the motor. After spending the time submitting all that, we waited for several weeks to get the new wooden bucket, which leaks worse than the original! I now have to go through the frustrating process of photographing and filming this bucket to try for one that will hold water. There are nicer products out there. I would pass on this one if I could get a re-do. Not at all recommended. I would give zero stars, if there was the option.

Works great!
It’s amazing how rich homemade ice cream is. Every recipe we have tried makes about a quart of ice cream but a little goes a long way. It’s wild.As far as the machine goes- it’s easy to set up, I love how it stops when the ice cream is finished churning- except for the last time we used it, all the ice cream was stuck to the paddle going round and round for way longer than usual but afterwards we realized that we forgot to put the metal tub into the freezer ahead to f time so that was user error.Follow the instructions and you’ll be good to go.I recommend using it outside or in a good sized sink because a lot of condensation builds up on the outside and the bucket itself is not watertight. Salty water cleanup isn’t difficult, just so much easier to let it leak out over something other than your kitchen counters (and onto the floor if you aren’t paying attention)We haven’t tried the hand crank, but it looks nice and solid.
