My teapot lid doesn't close properly. It is always loose. Does anyone else have this problem?

Same! I’m returning for this reason. A lot of money for a pot that won’t close.

Can it be used for mulled wine

I can’t see why not, the infuser basket can be removed, so you could easily fill it with mulled wine once you’ve brewed it.

How long does it keep the tea hot?

It's not double-walled, so no longer than a normal teapot,but I use a snug-fitting tea cosy and let tea brew for 5 minutes, I find it an excellent teapot

what is the warranty on this product?

I have been using the teapot several times a day for many months. I have never worried about a warranty because t works extremely well and is robust enough to withstand daily use and the ravages of the dishwasher.
