Q: Mine is brown now that it's spring. It had 1 full season. Is that normal?

Mine bloomed first year( last September) had 1 freeze they do survive that. Brown early this year 2023 and as of now green is now growing in.

Q: Not all of my plants look like they survived. how can i tell at this period of time, whether they are growing? i planted day after i received them.
