Great for the beginner and beyond
Straight out of the box, I was impressed with the extra care taken in packaging the guitar. Mine arrived well wrapped in foam, detuned and packed around the strings to avoid damage in transportation. Comes in its own gig bag which is ok for covering the instrument but I wouldn't count on it for drop protection.Points:- I was very pleased with the weight of the instrument considering the size, it is rather light and feels great picking it up.- The finish is satin and the body grain looks fresh and nice to the touch.- Tuners are not the best I ever tried but they work and on quite a low ratio which is good for fine tuning.- The bridge is roughly finished with good indentation to achieve decent intonation. The bridge texture matches the finish of the body in look and feel.- I will not pass judgment on the action as it is a subjective and based on preference, but I provided a measurement image on the 12th fret.- Decent finishing around joints with no eye soaring imperfections. I'm impressed at this price point.- Donner were extremely generous with the accessories on this package providing all you really need to get going. Comes strung and with an extra set of strings gauge 10. Since this is a beginner guitar I would have gone for 9's to make life easier for those bruising their fingers for the first time but 10's are the expected standard.- Kind of prefer mine without the pickguard but it's there if you'd like one.Sound:Full sound and great energising vibration as you hold it in your arms. Mine sounds even better after I swapped the strings for some really nice Ernie Ball acoustics. This is what you want around a campfire, a soothing rich rounded sound. Conclusion:At this price point, it is one of the best beginner guitars I ever tried. If you're looking to get started, do yourself a favor and don't buy the cheapest plank of wood you can get out there as you will find it hard to play and that would be the end of your attempt at learning guitar. This guitar is a better choice to get going. Also considering the generous accessories package, this is just a great deal and I simply cannot fault it.

My journey to learn to play acoustic guitar has begun. 🙂
I was somewhat nervous about receiving my first guitar as I'm so looking forward to starting my journey on the 'road of learning to play the acoustic guitar'. What condition would it be in? Would it have been damaged in transit? My fears were needless however, my Postie knocked on the door with a smile on his face, which I reciprocated with my own smile 🙂.I have M.E and Fibromyalgia, I'm pretty much housebound. Inspired by a friend of mine who has the same, and plays his guitar in bed, I've decided nervously to give it a go, and I don't expect to make progress quickly. There will be many times I simply won't be able to practice, but I'm determined to give it a go, I need an interest to make my life worth living.First of all, it arrived with the box completely intact, it had obviously been handled well in transit. Upon opening, as advised by YouTube videos, I gave it a full inspection, and was most happy, and very relieved!!To any beginner, the first thing to do, is to use the tuner supplied to tune the guitar. Take your time, it can be tricky. I watched a YouTube video to assist me, as I struggle understanding things at times, due to the Fibromyalgia.Tuning cannot be rushed, it took me a while, and was frustrating at first. But deep breaths, one by one, taking a break in-between each string, I got there!!I advise using the lightest pick to begin with, it takes less effort. Play with the guitar to find your way around it.One thing I was worried about, was whether I'd annoy the neighbours by my strumming. Quite honestly, if you live in a house, they shouldn't hear you next door, it's certainly no louder than the tele.Admittedly, I did strum it straight away, but it sounds so much better once tuned in. There are many videos on YouTube to help you learn, and they cost you nothing more than your time.I took a while before I chose this guitar. It's best to do that, do your research first. Do a little online studying to learn the basics and consider if learning to play is suitable to you. Quite frankly, I'm glad I've bought this one, The quality is beyond my expectations. It comes equipped with all you need, including a holdall to transport the guitar, not that mine will be going far, but at least it'll protect it from my ever-curious cats 🙂.My journey has begun, start yours with this guitar.Update. I had my first Acoustic Guitar lesson this week. The tutor checked first if it was in tune, and it was, thanks to the tuner that came with it. I was really pleased about that 🙂. He had a little play with the guitar, and the sound was awesome.Quite frankly, I'm over the moon with my purchase.

Great value guitar!
Great acoustic guitar - I’ve been playing about 10 years and fancied a cheapish acoustic for just keeping around the house. Saw this one and thought it looked solid. The general sound of the guitar is really nice - bright and warm, but not too over the top. The strings that came on it already weren’t great but the included set sound much better, so I swapped them out pretty much straight away. The neck is super comfortable - feels pretty close to an electric guitar neck in terms of feel and playability. Has a satin finish rather than gloss so it’s great if you get sweaty hands when playing etc.The included accessories are all solid - the strap is really nice, capo is nice, tuner does the job, carry bag does the job also although it doesn’t provide much protection - but having all those extras is great for the price.Guitar was well set up out of the box - I haven’t had to adjust the action or anything, was very nice and playable straight away.Would definitely recommend to beginners and experienced players alike!
