I have not been in the home audio scene for some time. I had migrated to soundbars and ran optical or HDMI. I decided that the limitations of sound bars were too much and purchased a receiver. The meager wires it came with would not do, way too small, and the color clashed. I had researched various products and was looking for 18 awg in black. I seen the GearIT cables, seen a high rating, and I wanted to try it for myself. The cable is good quality. It is coating in black insulator with a red stripe on one side. I did like this as it is very easy to isolate pos and neg. The wire is pliable and does not seem brittle. It carries the single as good as stock. I can't say I have a massive home theater, so I am not driving a tremendous amount of power. But, for the average user, if you are looking for black cable, this is a good choise.

Good price. Decent weight wire with a positive side and a negative side. In spite of the negative side, I gave it five,.... yes five stars!!

This is thick, quality audio wiring that would be great for loudspeakers.But I used it for carrying high current DC, which it also excels at (within the amperage allowed for open-air 18 ga. stranded copper).I plan to purchase again when I need more.
