I love this product!
Before I get too far into this review, I would like to say that Allen Sports was very prompt in receiving my request for a revised trailer arm and shipping its replacement to me.Since the derailleur hanger and sprockets are on the right side, I chose to install the trailer hitch on the left. I had no trouble with a left turn using that configuration but during a right turn the back of the tire rubbed at no more than ten degrees. As someone else mentioned, the suspension had a squeak, but you would need to hit a pretty serious bump to hear it. Despite being a non-issue, I hit those components with some Hi-Temp EP moly bearing grease I had sitting around and the noise has gone away entirely. The product is simple to use overall; It's simple to convert between a jogger and trailer and it ships to the door in three parts -- nearly fully assembled in the box. The only parts I had to put on were the wheels, which require no tools. The wheels detach with the push button easily and it folds back down for storage very easily. The construction is solid. Aluminum tubing on this single child jogger/trailer is thicker and appears to be more durable than most other products I have seen, but its still very light. The bug shield simply stretches over the bottom instead of zipping down the sides and the wind shield zips down on top of the bug shield. Getting a child in and out of the product is very easy. The lining inside is very nice, there is a ton of room for one child and overall the interior looks cozy. The five point restraint could use at least one improvement. Aside from being a bunch of plastic clips attaching to and through a ring, it would be nice if the strap height could be adjusted at the shoulder. The wheels are steel instead of cheap plastic you see on many products in this price rangeA lot of people complain on reviews for joggers saying they wish the front wheel swiveled. A full swivel front wheel would probably be harder to control than they realize. I dont jog in circles so this isnt a problem for me, but a better idea than using a full swivel front wheel might be a loaded spring swivel wheel. All things considered I dont think there is a jogger\trailer in this price range built as well as the JTX-1.-d

Fits our needs!
First, this is a nice little kid trailer! We have one child and are not having more so we specifically wanted a single trailer for space saving convenience. Our must-haves for a bike trailer (and the criteria I'm reviewing on) were:-must easily convert into a stroller-the stroller must fit through normal doors-the trailer must be a single occupancy-it's got to look good and be good quality-there needs to be lots of storageSTROLLER CONVERSION: It's so easy, it takes hardly any time at all to convert, and this stroller is sharp. There is also an alternative to the single wheel (it's two small wheels on an axle) that I purchased on Amazon for five bucks that might make steering more precise when not using for jogging. We use it more as a stroller than a trailer!SIZE: perfect size, in my opinion. I have an 8 month old and we are not having more children so I only need a seat for one. This will work well for us for at least the next two years. There is a good amount of cabin space around the child, plus two side pouches for drinks or snacks. You could fit quite a lot of gear in the cabin with your kid pretty comfortably. The only issue is that there is a lowish clearance above the child's head when the bug and windscreen are closed. Taller, older children with helmets might have problems. It fits through normal house doors! With the wheels on!!! It also folds flat very easily and takes up a small corner of the hall closet, but we leave it open in the corner of the nursery in stroller mode. It's a really freaking great stroller!!!!QUALITY: Allen trailers are known to be good quality, affordable options and that's what I got! This thing looks good, the cover fits perfectly, all the seams are strong and lined up properly. No issues with construction upon arrival. Zippers all operate smoothly, buckles latch well. Clean and shiny! There is no seat liner (shown in seller's pictures) and honestly the only flaw I see that the seat in these trailers do not have a recessed area behind the head, so the child's helmet will push them forward at a little angle. A pad to elevate your kid off the seat would help give some space behind their head and have them rolling at a better angle. I purchased a stroller seat pad on Amazon to remedy that, and the five point harness fit fine with the standard pad.STORAGE: here's the rub y'all. There's not much grown-up storage on this trailer at all. There's only three little cubbies on the back. For us, the extra roomy cabin is actually enough for our overflow items. I suspect you could fit a bag or two of groceries in there with your kid if you needed to. Once your kid outgrows this, you can do out the seat and have a great storage trailer. We love it. Got a great deal by watching prices for a few days.If this review or the photos were useful to you, please hit the helpful button!

Incredibly hard to collapse. :(
I actually really like the stroller. It hooked up to my bike really easy. My daughter loves it, although based on her size we'll only be using it this summer. One thing I HATE is that it seems to take an act of God and 2 of his friends to collapse it. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I can barely pull the "triggers" back one at a time let alone at the same time. If I'm making it harder than it is let me know and I'll change my rating.

Crash Danger
Dangerous lack of quality control. We really liked the size, weight and overall design. We assume that there is a manufacturing defect in the trailer arm since it rubs the back wheel of every bike we own from 26", 700c, etc long before we reach what should be the limit of travel. So far we have only had a couple crashes due to the back wheel being locked up against the trailer arm.Calling Allen Sports has been fruitless. I guess they assume the infant will be safe in the trailer even if the rider crashes. We are sadly very disappointed.
