Hyundai 26cc Petrol Grass Trimmer, Split Shaft 38cm Cutting Width Powerful Garden Strimmer With Bump-feed Head, 2-stroke Engine

Not used yet but looks a quality item

Didn't last five minutes bought this for myself it arrived fast very easy to assemble, started on the second pull proceeded to strim no good what so ever for lawn edges, is only useful for high weeds or grass over 12cm switched off and proceeded to mow the lawn came across some high weed/grass picked up the strimmer started first time, but would it spin the strimmer line, so I split it fired up the engine pulled the trigger all fine, so I went to the spool end and spun it manually it seemed a little stiff but it was spinning so I got some oil poured it down the shaft and worked it manually by spinning the spool by hand ✋ and it got easier so put the shaft back together it now works, seems things are not checked at quality control. I now have the problem that to get it to strim the borders I have to tilt it on an angle that fire that I burn my elbow on the engine so I am going to move the handle further down the shaft and see if that helps I will let you know how I get on ???

I bought this slightly more expensive than other options product as I thought I would get a reliable item from a manufacturer like Hyundai - but have been extremely disappointed. The engine does not run idle for more than a minute before cutting out, when the throttle is used the engine just cuts out unless you only throttle a very small amount and the cutting cord has to be pulled through after every cutting section of my garden. In summary therefore I spend more time either re-feeding the cutting cord or re-starting the engine than I do using the product to strim grass - highly frustrating when what should be a 10 minute job actually takes closer to 30 minutes.Update - as a result of my review above I was contacted by the seller who arranged to collect the strimmer to see what the problem was. It was duly collected by courier and after a week was returned. The seller contacted me to say that the carburettor needed adjusting and that it should work fine now. Having used the strimmer a couple of times now all is good - it no longer cuts out when idling or when the throttle is used (at any speed). The fact that the engine is now running smoothly now also seems to have resolved the issue with the cord constantly breaking. Four stars as the product needed attention before it worked properly - but 10 out of 10 for customer service as the seller proactively contacted me, arranged collection, fixed and returned the product in perfect working order!!

Excellent product

With being split, it fits into the car without having to drop the seats.Starts as per manual and cuts OK.Haven't had to change the line yet --- no instructions about that

Great ides to have two separate fuel fillers no mixing of petrol and two stroke oil and it's the best way to get the mixing the correct way, brilliant.

After using the machine , it soon started to play up and would not fire up . Hyundai were not helpful at all.Apart from suggesting i repair it myself they pointed out that if i send it back for repair under their warranty I would be liable for any costs accumulated if any of the repairs fell outside the terms of the warranty, ie , labour, parts and postage. Sorry folks iv put this one down to experience. Bought better Quality one instead.regards to all

Much heavier and more awkward to use than my previous model. No instructions on how to change cutting thread....I had to phone helpline for this.
