Salt Water ORIGINAL Little Kid Leather Sandals

This is the second summer I purchased these sandals for my granddaughters. They lasted so well last year we had to have them again this year. My daughter said they wore them pretty much exlusively all summer long. I bought silver last year and they wanted it again this year. They are 3 and 5 years old. The sandals really are amazing as they wear them in water parks, the beach, parks and church all while looking nice! I can't believe they can look good after wearing them for everything. Somehow they do!They run a little bit flat, and tight, but there are instructions on how to soak them in water to fit them to your feet. It works well. After doing that, they fit perfectly! One more thing I like is the buckle. It is not a velcro so it stays buckled until you unbuckle it. Nothing to wear out or fray! They are simply great sandals!

These sandals were perfect for my daughter. They have a sturdy heel and fit just right. She was able to wear them right out of the box and they did not rub or bother her on any part of her foot. Usually with sandals it is necessary to wear them with socks for a bit in order to break them in but these were comfortable from the start. They are cute yet sophisticated. So many sandals I saw for children were just mini versions of adult shoes which looked trashy. These are classic, comfortable, and reasonably priced sandals.

My last pair finally kind of de-laminated after 3 summers of swimming in them (freshwater) daily, walking in them in brackish and full-on salt water, drying in the sun, as well as just generally wearing them to hang out in and for work. They look nice enough to pair with a sundress for events, but are rugged enough to wear to hike, swim, bike, etc. This new pair is exactly like the old ones I bought 3 years ago, which is what I hoped. I hate it when companies change something you know you like--but don't worry, these are the classic sandals. The sole is very thin and not padded, so they may take some getting used to if you have sensitive feet. I usually wear shoes with serious arch support and comfort soles, but after breaking my first pair in, I've been able to wear these sandals all the time. And though these are often worn by kids, I'm in my 40's and get compliments on these shoes every day. Also, I received them on Monday after ordering on Friday evening.

been wearing saltwaters since I was a kid and now my daughters will wear them forever!! nah but fareal they hold up soo well, they look great with Anything, they are comfortable (girls wore them all day at LEGOLAND) and they can get wet! So yeah saltwaters forever! also fit well for narrow feet or wide (wet n stretch) only had to buy sandals ONCE for the season. and because they hold up so well i can resell them or pass em on from my big girl to my lil girl.

After reading the reviews, I was expecting to have to return them. I was surprised when I opened the box and saw a very expensive looking child's sandle. My 6yo G-daughter is extremely sensitive and picky about the way her shoes fit. If they aren't Keds or stride ride she complains about them. She gets blisters and wear marks on her feet. The reviews said they were narrow but if you research them enough, you will find the solution. Instruction that came in the box that tells you how to stretch them with your hands then one review said to soak them over night and let them wear them until they dry. I did the box instructions then sprayed them with a water bottle just enough to get them thoroughly wet and put them on her feet for the school day. She never complained and loves the the sandles. They are very well made. If I didn't know better I would think they were stride ride shoes.

Based on other reviews for Saltwater Sandals, I decided to try these! They are adorable and seem really well made. Nice grippy rubber bottom, beautiful full grain leather straps, very adjustable ankle strap. Many reviews say these run a full size large and to size down. I decided to order two sizes: 3, which is the actual size my (very tall) seven year old wears now, and 2, in case they do run big. Her feet are on the wide side, with a high arch. The 3 fits comfortably with about 1/2" from her toe to the end of the sandal; I would say they do NOT run large, but fit as expected. I am returning the 2 and keeping the 3. She has only worn them once, so I can't support or refute the durability/waterproofness that other reviewers speak of. I'll update if they don't hold up as expected. The leather and buckle are stiff right now, but given my experience with other quality leather shoes, I think they will quickly soften up. They are not so stiff that my daughter complains of discomfort or that they make blisters; I just mean they are a bit difficult to buckle right now! As an aside, I ordered these in red for me, they are adorable and a beautiful perfect lipstick red. I wear a 10, I ordered the big kid 8, they are plenty wide, but not loose, but I think they are a bit short, and my big toe was hanging off the front just a hair. I found that uncomfortable, so I am returning them, but they are beautifully made, nice leather, gorgeous color.
