Outstanding hat. One of the best!
I really enjoy a good hat and this is my third Tilley LTM6 Airflo hat. I now have them in Khaki, Olive and Black so I'm covered with this hat in most outfits, in most situations.I have several other Tilley hats too,(and hats from other brands as well, including Stetson, Jaxon, Bailey and the like) for different weather situations at different times of the year, but the LTM6 Airflo is one of my favorite hats and versatile enough to wear often. The hat is light and comfortable but made with high quality materials and robust stitching so it holds up to wind and weather very well. It is perfectly designed to protect you from the elements while being a breeze to wear. The airflow feature at the top of the hat keeps your head cool and comfortable in the summer but lets in very little water if you happen to be caught in a rainstorm. Great design. This hat also has an outstanding design for the one piece chin and back of the head strap which is easily adjustable to fit perfectly and work very well. I've worn my Tilleys on power boats going 40 mph+ and in other very windy conditions. With the chin and back strap properly deployed, the hat stayed snugly on my head. I also like the classic Tilley pocket stitched into the inside top of the hat. I keep a few bucks in a plastic pouch there in case of emergencies and I can carry my driver's license and credit card there too if I'm traveling very light.I highly recommend the Tilley line of hats. They're all excellent but I like the LTM6 Airflo in particular. If necessary, go to Tilley's website and carefully follow their sizing guide. A Tilley should sit a little loose on your head and is designed to be most comfortable and functional with that fit. For my first LTM6, I brought a size 7-1/4 as that is usually my normal hat size. I liked it very much and wore it a lot, however, after wearing that size for a year, I purchased my next two LTM6 hats at 7-1/2 and the slightly looser fit feels much more comfortable. I used a hat stretcher to stretch my first one and that fits better now although I have to occasionally re-stretch it as the hat wants to return to its original size. Again, a very, very well made hat.If you are new to Tilley hats be aware they can be conversation starters in public. Tilley owners notice Tilleys on other people and the response may vary from a respectful nod of recognition in passing to a full blown conversation if you invite it with the simple comment, "Nice hat!" I personally always notice a Tilley when I see one and my opinion of the wearer is usually that they are a person of good taste with an appreciation of the finer things in life.Highly recommended!!

They are just the best hats I've ever worn
This is my 3rd Tilley hat. I wear them on the golf course. I hesitated on the first one because they are expensive but a recommendation from a friend got me to take the plunge. They are fitted hats so you get your exact size. There isn't any elastic to pull against your head or a drawsting to size it. That means the hat sits like its supposed to and is comfortable all day. They wear exceedingly well. My first hat is 3 years old but it still looks great. They wash easily (they give you some suggestions but I just wash mine by hand in the sink and let them drip dry). They have a lifetime guarentee and I can see why, they just don't seem to wear at all. They are light weight which contributes to their comfort. They look better than any other hat I've tried. They come with some tie strings for windy coniditions, but I've rarely needed them, again because you're going to get an exact fit, they are going to stay on in most conditions. The best hats and worth the money.

Great hat, and it looks nice!
Want to keep the sun from burning your head and face? This little hat does the job! And, it looks awesome. I was hesitant to purchase and use it as I've always used a ball cap. But after two cancers cut off my face, I use it very time (every time) I go golfing or for a walk. I thought I'd be embarrassed to use it. But you get used to it very fast and it beats losing pieces of your face.

high-quality hat for sun or rain
I have this hat in olive green, but wanted a lighter color. I like the LTM 6 Airflow because the brim is stiff, not floppy, and the vents at the top allow some air in to keep your head a bit cooler.

Perfect hat
On a recent trip to Egypt, three people in my tour group were wearing this hat, and I envied them the whole time. As soon as I got home I ordered one for myself. The hat is perfect in that the brim is wide enough to shade my ears. The brim has a light-weight wire in it that makes the brim stay in the shape and position that you mold. The mesh at the top allows your head to breathe, and the hat is perfectly comfortable.

well built.
Sturdy, well designed, comfortable. Nice hidden pocket in top with Velcro closure (for paper money, credit card, key....)Make sure you order a larger hat than you usually do, the hat is designed to rest on the top of your head held by gravity, rather than held on by a tight band around your forehead. The looseness of the sweat absorbent band makes it more comfortable in hot weather. (The height is not as tall as most hats, so it shouldn't cover your eye brows when it touches the top of your head). The big mesh air vent at the top of the hat keeps the head cool, (I chose to get the smaller vents, since they also let sun in, and I wanted to reduce sunburn on my thinning hair).Rather than a single strap under the chin, it uses two straps, (a second one behind your head), to keep from blowing away. It seems to have been made for sailing, the hat floats in still water. The Tilley hat does NOT look as good in person as it does in the pictures, it tends to have wrinkles rather than the smooth shaped sides shown in the photos. This is not a dressy hat, but rather a functional hat to keep the sun off. The Henschel "Aussie Crushable Hat" I purchased at the same time is a nicer looking hat for dressier occasions (and cost less).I think it is a bit expensive compared to other hats, but it should last a lifetime.
