Works straight from the box
I needed to convert my internal bluray DVD drive from my old computer to an external DVD fir my new computer. This was way to install- just plug it into the DVD drive. Worked straight away.

Great cost & time saving device
I scrapped an old PC, but wanted to use the Blu-ray drive. Of course it wouldn't fit in the new machine and external enclosures started at £60, so I thought it was heading for the bin..... until I saw this.Easy to set up and works well.This unit allows greater flexibility than a dedicated external caddy/enclosure as it can be used on other drives as well as the optical drive.

Worked first time for a blu-ray optical drive
Bought this to use an Blu-ray drive from an old tower PC, instead of buying a new external drive. Plugged in, worked like a charm. Only a bit of a shame the supplied USB->SATA cable is a little short, but it isn't a big issue.

Worked perfectly
So easy. Plugged it in and recovered all the files from an old hard drive by transferring them to a new computer in a matter of minutes. No problems at all, worked as it should and I am very pleased with this purchase as it saved a lot of documents and photos which would otherwise have been lost.

Unitek USB 3.0 to SATA III HD Adapter Converter for 2.5 3.5 Inch HDD/SSD
Initially tried it using a160Gb Matrox 3.5 HD and Windows 10 to no avail. Using only the USB cable the adapter gave off a vivid blue light but did not connect. When using the power supply the HD made a regular clicking sound and the adapter gave a blue flashing light, but still made no connection. However, when using on a Windows 7 machine with the same specs, Windows 7 loaded a driver and it worked, No Problem.

Didn't work for me
I don't normally write negative reviews, but for this product I've made an exception. Looking at the reviews I was expecting this to work with at least one of my 3 sata Optical Blueray and DVD Drives. Easy install, Windows installed the drivers by default and everyone of the drives showed in the Control Panel. Unfortunately, none of the drives would read or write cd's, dvd,s or Bluerays. Tried a 3.5" sata hard drive and windows wouldn't even let me format it. I went into admin tools and it showed as removeable media, even though the hard drive was previously formatted. Disk management would not let me reformat and all options were grayed out. Returned for a refund

No need to throw away old optical drive
I bought a new PC that didn't have space for my old blu ray burner. Didn't want to throw it out or spend £50+ on an external caddy. Took a punt on this and it works flawlessly. Well worth the money.
