Q: Is this eraser safe to use on old book paper to remove pencil marks?

It hasn't damaged any of the paper I've used it on, including tissue.

I honestly don't know what it is made of. But it does exactly what it says it will do. Very good eraser

Q: Is this good for erasing pencil marks on watercolors?

I have had success in doing so. As long as the pencil line isn't dark it was fine for me. I use an HB pencil for lines in doing watercolor lay outs.

It will erase erasable ink but not completely, you can still see the ink after erasing.
