Product works!! However no Cable or Analog signals can be detected while using this product.
I purchased this product to watch Cable TV from the nursing home that I was in. However this product does not translate Analog Cable TV. I reached out to the manufacture and although there is the ability to update the firmware to allow analog signals they have for some reason decided not to fix this product. This product will only work with Digital over the air TV locally and for that it works amazingly well! Very clear picture excellent quality and I used a home brew cable slim jim antenna to connect to it!

Get many “local” free channels
This is a great box and have already bought another one and going to purchase one more for the guest room just to have. We decided to get rid of cable because we were mostly streaming and why pay for extra channels and this gives you all the local channels plus extras you didn’t even know you had like ID which is my favorite ( investigator, crime true crime) my dads favorite is the western and old movie channel ( compare to TCM) I recommend

WHAT A HEADACHE! Terrible manual! Don’t buy this if your TV only has a COAX input!
DON’T BUY THIS UNLESS YOU WANT A HEADACHE! The instructions are 2 pages and don’t explain anything correctly. Here are my issues with this device:1. There is a port labeled ANT LOOP next to ANT IN and nothing in the manual explains why you need 2 antenna ports which seem to both take COAX cable.2. There is a port labeled COAXIAL which is completely left off the diagram on the box (see picture). That should have been my first RED flag. I assumed that is where you would connect the COAX cable from your old TV as older TVs only have a COAX input and picture would show on CH. 3 or 4 like it did when I had cable.3. There is nothing in the manual that says which channel the picture would show on (CH. 3 or 4 or something else?)4. When I connected the COAX from my TV to this box and did a channel scan on my TV, my Sharp TV said there was a signal on every channel 2-125. This can’t be right. Unplugging this box from power and doing another scan showed no channels were found so somehow this box is sending signals on all channels 2-125.5. You can’t tell whether the box is ON or OFF. I think when the box displays “0000” it is OFF and when it displays “—-“ it is ON. This is just based on the channel scan observations in #4 and the difference in the static screens that I see.6. Tech support rep from Amazon that tried to help me troubleshoot this device for 1.5 hours and used to work for Comcast was as stumped as I was. He was clearly proficient as his ideas were correct but this box refused to work using a COAX output. So in short, my TV only had a COAX input and the description for this box says it supports output to COAX as it lists COAX out and has a port for it but apparently this is just junk. The cable box I was using before “cutting the cord” would just connect via COAX to my TV and the cable box had a selector to say it would transmit on CH 3 or 4 - very straight forward. Maybe this works with RCA and HDMI but my old TV doesn’t have any other inputs apart from COAX and I can definitely confirm this doesn’t work with old style TVs using COAX.

It's meh
They seem to die after a year of use. I like the PVR feature. They get hot. The remote sucks. you need a very short direct line to the device.

Local channels on receiver only tv
I bought a receiver only TV. It had no tuner in it. I moved the tv outside and wanted just to pick up broadcast signal without a cable box. Thought this 65” tv was going to be trash without a cable box. This unit did the trick. Get all the local channels and a few more with a $20 antenna. Remote works great.Did just what I wanted it to do

works well after you solve the setup puzzle.
product works well once I figured out how to configure it on my tv. instructions for channel search/configuration are really bad. I finally searched all channels and channel search was on channel 91. no mention of anything in the instructions. it said in the minimal instructions that the remote batteries were included. no batteries were included in the package. it's very small and depending on your cables it may not sit level on the top of your tv. works best if you put the antennae in the window of the room you are using it in. antennae has a very long cable for this to be done easily.

A godsend camping
We have an old TV in our trailer because we've never been able to find a new one to fit in the boxed off area that was built for a TV since the trailer is a 2001. This box allowed us to covert the TV to digital so that we could get over the air TV signals. It worked like a charm. We added a digital antennae and now we can watch TV when we are camping.

VERY IMPRESSED!
These tuners keep getting smaller and more efficient. Hooked it up, turned it on. It immediately went to scan stations. Took a minute and found 105 channels! My old iView tuner only found 89 and most were too weak to play without breakup. Extreme quality of picture and sound. Recorder excellent too. No dropouts...and when off it displays a very accurate clock.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
