Scarred the pipe
Not sure if I should have known better but I purchased this vice to thread aluminum conduit and was quickly disappointed by the marks it left in the pipe. As a vice, it worked fine so I will not be returning it or anything like that but as for the application I purchased it for it is unusable. Hopefully this review will save someone else from making the same mistake.

NOW MADE IN CHINA
YEARS AGO, I BOUGHT THIS AMERICAN MADE ITEM. IT STILL WORKS GREAT. SO, WHEN I NEEDED ANOTHER ONE FOR ANOTHER SERVICE TRUCK, I WENT SEARCHING FOR IT. IT TOOK A WHILE TO FIND THE "SUPERIOR TOOL" BRAND. I BY PASSED SEVERAL CHEAPER PRODUCTS FROM OTHER COMPANIES. THESE PRODUCTS WERE AT LEAST 50% CHEAPER THAN THE "SUPERIOR BRAND."WHEN I GOT THE NEW PRODUCT, THE FIRST THING I NOTICED WAS THE WORD "CHINA" STAMPED IN BLACK INK ON IT. I FELT I HAD BEEN TAKEN SINCE I PAID TWICE AS MUCH FOR THIS "SUPERIOR BRAND."TIME WILL TELL IF IT IS JUST AS GOOD AS MY OLD ORIGINAL PIPE VISE.

Bad iron casting! Very light! It is a iron? Made china. Too expensive for what it's worth.
