How well does it work with vertical vents, pictures only show horizontal

I have horizontal vents but the instructions say that it also works on vertical vents. After installing I see it could work with both.

Does this work with a case with a pop socket?

Please kindly know the supported maximun thickness of your device is 14mm(0.5in）,if you use a pop socket case,please confirm whether the thickness is less than 14mm.

I have the iPhone 13 pro max with thick case, will this be too Large or thick?

The car phone holder mount can hold a iPhone 12 pro with otterbox case or Samsung Note 20 Ultra with thick case very well, the iPhone 13 pro max is 6.7 inch but Note 20 Ultra is 6.9 inch Please kindly know the supported maximun thickness of your device is about 14mm(0.5in） You can see the video we attached.

What's the difference between this upgrade hook and the old clamp clip?
