This works as well as I would expect a hair dye to work. It is very easy to put on, though a little challenging to make sure I don't have to push it all around because I squeezed too much out in the beginning. As other have said, you do need to make sure that it does not get on things you care about (walls, countertop, clothes, etc.). I also found, as other have mentioned, that it can stain your skin but nothing an alcohol wipe won't take off. The one surprise is that I have to let my hair dry completely before having it touch anything else -- I made a mistake and went to bed one time with damp hair and stained my pillowcase. All of those are things I can work around. About my only real surprise is that it turns out much darker than expected for medium brown A-35. I have used this for a while and will continue to use it.

Doesn't last long in hair

I subscribed to this product for at least 7 or 8 months.1. For someone who has less hair, it might be true that you can use it twice. But I have quite a bit of hair, and every time I use it, it is not enough for the whole head. Then I thought I must use two tubes to be enough. It is okay to use the second tube, but the next issue #2 came up.2. The dye does not hole the color well at the proximal quarter to half inch of hair, where it remains white, though I wash my hair and dye it. I thought my technique was wrong, or I did not put enough dye. My wife helped me, as well as, I used the second tube as described above, still it does not hold the color, a quarter to half inch of hair close to the hair follicles.Now I gave up and cancelled my subscriptions.

We get it on subscribe and save now. Use it every 4-6 weeks. It does not cover all the gray so it looks natural. It is scary when you first put it on - it looks black, but after shampooing it out it looks natural and you will look 10 years younger. Hubby wants to use it regularly. He is 73. I also put it on his beard and mustache.

Where do I begin? Though it’s a novel idea to squeeze color out through a comb, the experience is a lot worse in reality. Here are the Cons.1. Even though they say it has enough in the tube for 2 applications, there’s barely enough for 1 unless you have extremely short hair or balding.2. As you can see the color on the box does not render the same color it gives your own hair so be very careful and select down in color. (See photo)They say the color shuts off automatically after 10 minutes so it’s not a case of user error by leaving it on for to long.3. It’s extremely drying to your hair! The reason for this is because it doesn’t work on the same principles as conventional hair color but instead deposits pigment to the outer hair shaft. Pigment laying on top of the hair shaft gives your hair a gritty feeling of dryness. I had to use a lot of conditioner just to make it feel like real hair again.4. While the applicator is a novel idea, it is much more messy than using a traditional applicator bottle. I think the comb applicator would be better for someone who has a beard or facial hair.So for the Pros……1. It is relatively inexpensive but around the same price as Clairol brand hair color.2. It is small enough to travel with… for touch-ups.3. It DOES render color within 10 minutes so if you need to color your hair quick and shave off an additional 10 minutes from the processing time, then this is for you. Most traditional hair color’s processing time is between 20 and 30 minutes.My conclusion…….This product is better suited to color facial hair or eyebrows because it processes very quick! Other than that, I was very disappointed in the whole experience. I would advise that you do yourself a favor and mix up equal parts of water and some bleach for the shower, in a spray bottle so you can spray down your shower after.Good luck and happy hair coloring!!

I use this product in my beard and it works perfectly, despite saying is for hair, it also works on beads. Very good result. I recommend.

I've purchased Just for Men hair color many times off the shelf here in Australia. This one I purchased online here on Amazon. There are many differences I experienced. Firstly much less content. I have short-medium length hair, barely covered my hair .. perhaps this was why the end result was so poor. I did not like the comb style appliactor and removed it to rub the contents into my hair. When it was time to rinse out .. the color was awful. Unlike usual experiences, it went everywhere and was so dark I had to scrub my shower for ages. Not something I usually gave to do. Finally to my utter disappointment .. the color didn't hold .. as per the photo. Still greys. Also you can see how hard it was to rub off my forehead by the redness of my skin. Unsure why this was such a difficult experience when my usual Just for Men hair color treatments are usually good.

Came with a broken box and the barcode has been blanked out. Not worth the risk if it’s not real
