Lacis GB88 1mm Verna Straight Beadle Needle, 7.5-Inch

I love this product! I do a great deal of beading in my knitting and this item makes it easy and quick. I can nearly always get a full row's worth of beads on at one time. This item is for fingering weight yarn and size 6.0 beads. the smaller one can hold the 6.0 bead, but mangles fingering weight yarn, so don't make the mistake of trying to get one to work for both sizes, it won't. The downside to this is the little rubber stop at the end. I've lost a couple and I'd like to see a more permanent solution for this.

This product works, but I prefer the Fleegle Beader which is not easy to find. The version is not made as well - it bends more than the Fleegle and one of the black discs I got was not drilled in the center of the round. Also, the case (which must be ordered separately) is made of a much lighter weight plastic and once I had loaded the beader, I had to use tweezers to get it out of the case because it is narrower than the case that comes with the Fleegle.

This tool is amazing. It holds so many beads and I am able to pop the beads on my knitting with one thumb. It increases my beading speed by so much, much smoother and faster than he floss or crochet hook meathod. Totally worth the investment even if you don't bead that often.

I am so disappointed this beading tool did not work for me. I ordered it to do a beaded picot bindoff with malabrigo sock (plied light fingering yarn). The hook could only pick up one ply, so it was useless. I had to give up eventually because it was ruining my yarn. I expected it to work with the weight and multi ply yarn. If you only need it for lace or cobweb yarns, or single ply fingering it may work for you.

Works MUCH better than a crochet hook. Doesn't split fibers as much, either. Love that you can pre-load it with 40+ beads -- now my beaded projects are actually portable. Considering picking up the second size, too.

I love that these come in different gauges. It's wonderful to mount a bunch of beads to feed one-by-one without stopping each time to load on a bead.

Works great for beading but mine was missing one of its stoppers which half defeats the reason for the purchase for me. I’m usually a knitter on the go and was looking forward to having my beads held on the needle ready to be used. I’m sure I’ll find a way to fashion a stopper but I’d rather not have to. Otherwise it does do the job it’s made for and the needle itself was what I expected.

I tried lots of different products to put beads on my knitted projects and liked this the best. You can load up the Beadle with lots of beads thereby not slowing down.
