Traditional flavor tested by an expert
My 90 year old mother (born in Motherwell) has taste-tested this traditional shortbread cookie against four others. She likes this one from Duncan's of Deeside the best. Bravo to the Seattle importer for selecting this to repackage and sell. It has just the right crunch and buttery taste according to mama. She has been have afternoon (and morning and night etc) tea all her life.. We have also found it in Publix in Florida - important since Amazon often runs out of the traditional ones. [We have not tried the flavored ones.] As to the reviewer who complained about broken ones, we eat them not show them - but for guests I suppose that might be irritating. I might note having just returned from the "ol' sod" that I was a bit crumpled myself in the journey. In sum, a wonderful addition to a proper cup of tea (we like Yorkshire Gold although PG Tips will do).

Great Taste, Crappy Delivery
I knew going into this that the odds were stacked against me. Most people received a crappy, torn up box, and I was no different. I don't know how they are storing these boxes - my guess is that they fling them half-hazardly into the blades of a serrated windmill and ship out whatever heap of flimsy cardboard manages to survive. There were rips and holes in my box. The top was so damaged there wasn't even a flap to close it. The cookies themselves were broken into a million pieces, with a few chunks here and there. The worst part of this is that it was a gift, but it was for my best friend and she didn't care about the packaging. Everyone who tried the cookies loved them (the macha). So, I DO recommend the cookies, but I do NOT recommend buying them through this seller.

... these on a transatlantic flight and just fell in love with them
Discovered these on a transatlantic flight and just fell in love with them. I don't usually like strawberry-flavored things but these shortbread cookies from BISCOTTEA are just delicious. Haven't tried the Matcha Green Tea flavored ones yet, that I ordered.*** the Matcha Green Tea ones were also scrumptious but I see; the strawberry flavor is no longer available and the reviews on the Amazon site indicate many arrive ON THE EXPIRATION DATE. I have ordered the lemon ones but not yet tried them so this review will most likely be amended again, once I order the lemon shortbreads.

broken but not beaten
These are great cookies. They are a little expensive, but they are absolutely yummy. I have turned on a lot of my friends to these cookies. The shipping is sometimes not kind to them as they break easily, but the crumbs taste as good as a whole cookie. I used to be able to buy locally, but now Amazon is the go to shop. A nice treat for a special occasion. Luv em'......rick burnham I thought these were a little expensive at $13.50...At $20 they are ridiculously expensive. Way too rich for my blood. Very disappointed

Yum! Even in Crumbs!
Even in pieces these cookies were divine! The bergamot flavor was not overpowering and the texture was, much to my chagrin, the perfect texture for a shortbread cookie. My only surprise is trying to figure out why Amazon would ship cookies in an envelop. Of the eight cookies, only one was intact, the other seven were broken. Good thing I was keeping these as a secret treat for myself! :-)

Delightful and unique cookies!
I love these cookies!! They are delicious and have a unique flavor. The texture is also very nice and they taste fresh. Lovely tea cookies. I only wish there were more in the box for the price.

Yummy! Box smaller than photo suggests.
I am a coconut fiend and I love shortbread cookies, so gave these a try. They are really, really good! Great buttery shortbread flavor and the coconut flavor is there but not overwhelmingly so. I would have given these a 5 star rating but the box they come in is pretty small, smaller than I expected based on the photos. The cookies inside are packed in cellophane wrappers with 2 cookies each, which is nice for maintaining freshness. But I think there are only 10 cookies per box. A bit pricey, but I like these so much I will probably keep buying them.

Old, dried out and broken
I also found that the boxes of the cookies were near or pool past their expiration date. On top of that many of the boxes had mostly broken cookies in them which doesnt make them presentable when serving tea. Very inventory rotation and quality control.
