Q: Is the armrest removable?

No, it holds the chair together. The arm rests are not adjustable either and very uncomfortable hard plastic, as is the lumbar support: just a piece of hard plastic and incredibly uncomfortable. I hate this chair so much fyi, the foot rest doesn't stay up in place and slides down, leaving your feet dangling. It's a piece of garbage 100%.
