Fantastic sleeping bag!
This is my third teton gear bag. It is warm, the zippers are real ykk zippers & are very smooth. This bag is thick, plush, warm, the flannel lining is soft. The ripstop nylon outer shell is heavy duty and water resistant. The velcro keeper at the top of the zipper securely keeps the bag zipped. No slip. The draft tubes around the top edge & the zipper do an excellent job. These bags are high quality & well made & a very good buy at this price point. One more protip/life hack: take some 550 paracord & make yourself some zipper pulls. It makes finding & using the zippers so much easier, especially in the dark or with mittens on. The stuff sack works well and is also water resistant. This bag is big. Really big! Lots of room and very comfortable and warm. This is perfect for car camping, paired with a good sleep mat/pad.

Really-BIG-Sleeping Bag!
...I am in my mid-60's and still love to camp, but due to a replacement-hip and several damaged disks in my spine, sleeping on the ground in a tent is no longer a comfortable option for me, so for the last decade I have slept in my Dodge-Minivan on a regular mattress...But this has worn out, so I decided to upgrade......I wanted a cot, but didnt like the small, creaky, uncomfortable cots carried in most stores, so went online and found a GInormous one that had good reviews, and the manufacturer also made a sleeping-bag in the same size...40 x 85.....I bought both, and coupled them with a 2" memory-foam pad which I sandwiched between the bag and cot with an old quilt, holding that combo in place with light elastic cords......I am just sorry i did not do this years earlier!..This bag is HUGE!!!...It is very comfortable, with two-drawstring closures around the top to keep out drafts, very nice large padded batting along the zipper so you never make contact with the zipper while inside the bag, which also insulates that area well.......It has two nylon loops on the bottom for tying down to a cot to keep the bag in place, which is a nice feature...and overall the craftsmanship looks solid and of good-quality materials...I have had expensive down and synthetic bags in the past, and this bag compares nicely with them at a modest price making it good-value for your bucks!...I have not tested it to 0 degrees, but I can say that at 40 degrees I had to open the zip and hang my arms out for a long time as it was Very warm inside, so I am extremely happy and satisfied with this bag so far!...Obviously, only repeated use and time will tell how well it holds up and performs in the long run, but seriously, at this price, if it only lasted a few years it would have been well worth the reasonable price......This bag also comes with a very sturdy and well-made stuff-sack that has multiple compression straps to shrink it quite small...but it is fairly heavy...so I doubt this would be a good bag for back-packing...but I seriously doubt it was designed for that purpose in the first place...and if you are vehicle or tent camping, the weight is hardly a factor......My only complaint is minor, as you get a choice of left or right-hand zipper, and this bag can be joined to another, which would create a combined bag the size of a king-sized bed!..JEEZ!....I chose the left-hand zip, but when it arrived..the zip was on the right-side as I laid in it, but was still labeled left-hand zip..So I found this a bit confusing, as I guess if you were standing at the foot of the bag the zip would BE on the left....but once in it...it is on the right-side of the bag?...Perhaps this is a normal way of designating sides, but should be considered when you place an order......Aside from that, I am Very pleased with this product, and would gladly recommend it and the manufacturer at any time!...The bag arrived well-packed and boxed, and in a short time after I placed the order....and I cant wait to go out and do some serious camping with it!

So much room for activities!
This isn't a premium, top of the line, expensive sleeping bag - but for the price, holy crap, is it awesome!! I inherited my dad's camping gear from the 70's-80's, and I've been gradually adding and replacing things here and there. I finally decided it was time for a new sleeping bag - I sleep on my side with one knee sticking out, so trying to do that in my dad's narrow ancient sleeping bag was just not happening. Plus it was uncomfortable, scratchy, and had a (not) lovely deer print. This sleeping bag has every feature I was looking for, and more, and the price was great. I don't winter camp, but I do camp in the mountains where it can get in the 30s overnight even in the summer, so I wanted something warm. This is definitely keeping me cozy!! It is plenty wide to sleep in any crazy position I want to, without waking myself up from moving around. The top edge is lined with the inner material, so you don't have that shiny outer stuff touching your face - great idea!! There's a bunch of cushion at the top as well, so if you forgot your pillow (pfft...I did that once in girl scout camp in elementary school, never again) you could probably make it work in this bad boy. There are a couple spots that velcro at the top, so it won't come open while you are sleeping. It is super ridiculously long, but I like to tuck my blankets under my feet, so I can do the same with this sleeping bag - or let my dogs sleep on the end, and not worry about them disturbing my space! It's also funny because it's a full 15" wider than my sleeping pad - guess that will be the next upgrade! An added bonus is that it is definitely water resistant - right after buying this, I took it on a 2 week road/camping trip. The first 6 days were pouring rain non-stop. Rain got into the bottom of the tent, which I realized when packing up. My old sleeping bag was given to my dogs, and it was sopping wet. I brushed the water off of the outside of this, and it was still completely dry on the inside. Hooray!!!!

Very good but annoying zippers.
I am using this sleeping bag while working on fire incidents all over the west side of the US. It has been good down to freezing but I also use a blanket double on top. If you're going to be in freezing conditions I would recommend the -20 degree one. If your getting close to freezing this one is fine. It's soft and comfy and larger than most bags, but I am not as fond of the zipper, it does get hung up and is annoying that I have to fight with it every night while on my fire assignments. Not fun if you have to get up during the night and then zip it again in the middle of the night. But still a very nice and well made bag.
