Great suction - so it’s worth any other issues!
I’m not well-versed in knowing how to buy shop vacs. I will say that I didn’t want to cheap out and get something that was subpar and wouldn’t last. I looked at a lot of reviews from several websites, and the Ridgid brand kept popping up everywhere. I had originally bought a Dewalt, but I sent it back (really bad suction), and I bought the Ridgid instead. Is it big? Yep, it’s a little bulky, but no more cumbersome than a big ole’ vacuum cleaner. Is it noisy? Yeah - it’s a shop vac! The suction power is worth it all. Excellent choice on my part!

Has become my main vac
I ordered this because I was getting laminate floors installed in my house. I bought it to use for the construction clean-up. It worked great, actually it worked so well I bought the hepa filter for it and now it is the vac I use to clean my new floors. Be sure to buy the muffler for the exhaust, this should really be included with the vac. As others have noted there is a powerful stream of air out the exhaust--the muffler diffuses it very well. I also bought the floor attachment and dusting brush at my local Sears Hardware store. The included car tool is great for cleaning upholstery in the house. I have two dogs that do their share of shedding, this vac does a great job of getting their hair off the couch. The Hepa filter can be cleaned and reused--be sure to do it outside. I just knock it against something solid out in the yard to remove the dust, and then vacuum it with my garage duty shop vac. Good as new--no filters to buy. I also plan to use the wet purpose of it when I clean the grout in my kitchen tile. With the suction this thing has I have no concerns over the wet pick-up. It rolls through the house with ease on my new flooring, the rounded corners of the wheel wells bump off the baseboard doing no damage. If I need to do shop or construction clean up again I'll just pop the high effieciency filter back in it that it came with. The filter just snaps in, takes about 30 seconds. No filter cloths, foam or rings to mess with. Highly recommended.

Ridgid WD1450 14-Gallon 6-Horsepower Wet/Dry Vacuum
I purchased this Ridged WD1450 14-Gallon vac as a replacement for my old Shop-Vac 21-Gallon wet dry vac which suffered a motor burnout after about ten years of heavy use. This Ridged turned out to be an excellent buy and I have been very pleased with it. One of the features of this vac I really like is the blower function, which I use a lot and was something my old Shop-Vac was lacking. This vac uses what Ridgid calls SNR noise reduction and is relatively quiet for a vac of this size. The suction is very good with this vac and I use it often for dust collection with both the portable and stationary power tools in my shop. So far, the only drawback I find with Ridgid seems to be the high cost of their OEM branded replacement filter bags and pleated filters. Because of this I've started using the 14-gallon Shop-Vac brand 90662 [Type F] filter bags which are a lot less expensive, but still fit perfectly. The Ridgid came with a few decent accessories, but did not include an angled brush or crevice tool, which are both something I use all the time. I already had them left over from my previous vac, so not a big deal. Overall, I'm very impressed with this Ridgid vac and would have no problem recommending it.

As advertised
Suction power is very good. Not as quiet as I imagined it would be but definitely not as noisy as my (now retired) ShopVac. Nice built in caddy keep all the extra tools handy. Wish they had included an adapter to reduce the hose size so I could also use all my tools from my old vacuums. Not liking the substitute VF4000 filter and paper dust collection bag included with this machine. There was an insert explaining the VF5000 filter (which is supposed to be included) was switched out in support of COVID19 mask production. Had I known this I would still have bought this machine. I am going to buy a VF5000 filter to use when the dust collection bag is full.

good price and specs
I bought this unit to replace a 25 year old Craftsman that I thought could never be matched even though I had to use ear protection to use it! I Looked at professional job sites and saw a lot of Rigids. Decided on this model, good price and specs. Wow what a vac! Powerful and quiet, no ear plugs! One of the things I like best is that it can be pulled around without tipping over at every little obstetrical. It is evident that Rigid's engineers put a lot of thought into design. Great tool.

great shopvac
I bought a ridgid shop vac years ago and loved it. Unfortunately I had to get rid of a lot of things and my ridgid shop vac was one of them. It is great for cleaning out the car or truck, cleaning up some water, or cleaning up a job site. I have never had problems with a ridgid tool, and they have always exceeded my expectstions. Good choice for a shop vac. Its quieter than my old one and looks a lot cooler too.

Powerful but awkward
This is everything I wanted as far as size and power. Those are great attributes of this vacuum. It's just so dang awkward to carry around. I'd buy this again as a shop vac for home, but using it at work is annoying. Great product if you aren't using it a few times a day.

Love it - especially that there are 2 settings to control the strength of water flow.
This power washer has 2 settings which we appreciate. The softer setting helps prevent damage to whatever you are spraying with it. The high/strong setting is VERY powerful so be very careful or you will damage what you are spraying. We used the high setting to clean our 20-year old concrete sidewalk and it worked amazingly well and it looks like new. It removed that yellow-ish mold that grows on concrete with no problem. We love the soft setting for spraying off our cars and camper. This power washer is also fairly quiet. We love it.
