My original remote had some battery corrosion that I cleaned up and the remote would then work for buttons on the right but not the left side of the remote. This was amazingly frustrating as switching video source was on the left and seemed to be what I would grab it to do. Certainly you can get a universal remote but I just wanted the original, which is quite nice, and this is it.

our factory remote for our older vizio smart tv died and we needed a replacement. this was actually one of the cheapest options, so we figured we would give it a shot. I had to run through the re-programming of the TV before the remote would work with all functions, but after that it has worked flawlessly. very happy with this item.the keyboard on the bottom is a little awkward at first, but eventually you dont evenAs a plus it has a battery compartment that my toddler is unable to open (yet) so that is a nice little benefit

Does not work with my vizioModel M550SL however the description says it will. No program instructions if i need to i would like to know.

Worked out of the box for my Vizio tv. Not sure why the keyboard is on the reverse. If you were to login to Netflix or something the keyboard is useless. Who knows. How often would you use the keyboard? Either way it’s like a brand new remote. Makes working the tv options much easier. For the price, go for it.

This remote is the exact replacement for my 10 year old Vizio television. It works great and has all the features of the original. Plus the price was great.

No setup. Worked as soon as I put in batteries

We purchased this product because our Visio TV came with one years ago. However, when the cable guy came to hook up everything years ago, he programed the cable company remote to our Visio making this remote obsolete. So we bought this one to replace the one that we had hoping this one would automatically connect to the TV. It didn't work, and I have google it and YouTubed it, and cannot get it to connect to our Visio TV. So, I cannot really review whether this product/purchase works well or not. I don't even know how to rate it because I can't use it.
