Important—and beautiful—member of the diversity line
This is a fun but important doll for raising awareness and tolerance for our “diverse” humanity. There are so many women and girls w/ loss of hair due to a variety of reasons, including cancer treatment. Hair is very important to many cultures, to self-image development in young girls, and for keeping your head warm! (I made her a hat like mine. Silly, I know, but I’ve been there.)As a post-cancer-chemo-radiation survivor, I got her for myself (I wish I looked as good as she does!). She’s beautiful, cheerful, and for me, she represents strong women and girls with whatever condition, with bravery and the power of positive attitudes. She has also started conversations w/ kids about diversity, beauty based on values of love, kindness, empathy, humanity, rather than artificial, superficial “beauty” of tv/commercial/money interests. My “wonder babe!” has a head that appears to have come out of the mold with a lack of material in the neck/chin area—it clearly was filled in (looks like an insert) and the colour is shade darker. I chose to consider it lymphadenectomy scars and skin transplant, and I trimmed up the rough edges and plastic protrusions (she has a good plastic surgeon). It isn’t all that noticeable unless you are shorter than she is.For all the right reasons, she is a beautiful doll, as are the vitiligo-doll, the prosthetic-doll, and the wheel-chair doll. That the Barbie line has moved beyond the fripperies-doll is commendable and worth supporting.

She’s super cute but definitely doesn’t feel like the dolls of the 80s and 90s you may be expecting
This doll is adorable and my kids were so excited to have her join our friends center! My only thing is that she seems to be made of a very light plastic with the exception of her rubber head. No snap legs anymore. As I understand...you’re not going to find any newer dolls like that because of the chemicals used to make the legs rubbery. I’ve read that because of the chemicals needed to make the plastic pliable that some eras of dolls actually leached “oil” and ruined their clothes and boxes. I’m okay with not having the rubber legs but I would like if the legs at least were jointed so the dolls could sit properly. A full made to move body isn’t a big deal for this doll or quite frankly, any of the new dolls. It would however be really nice if the legs could bend so the dolls don’t fall out of our doll chairs. I have my old Barbies but the kids of course want the newer dolls to play with. This particular doll was well received and I think she might end up being one of kids favorite friend dolls. I didn’t like her outfit so I changed her into something else.

Very,very lovely!
This doll is absolutely gorgeous! I have the same experience as others, with a strange line of demarcation under the chin area and all the way around the base of the head. But if I didn't know to look for it, I don't think it would have been noticable in a normal position. I didn't think I'd like the '80s or '90s style dress, but it's well made and actually very pretty and feminine in person! I do hate the short white high heel boots-they are like '60s Go-Go boots-yuuuuck! And as others mentioned, they don't fit her foot very snuggly. Well,I have heels I can give her instead. I love the size of the hoop earrings, but both have a raised part just at where the end goes into the ear hole, where the finish is rubbed off. If she had hair that wouldn't show,so am a bit disappointed, but maybe I can paint or change them out later. The face is just perfect and her head is smooth and nicely shaped, much better than mine was when I went through chemotherapy a few years ago.lol Overall,I am so glad I got her!

Lovely
I got this, along with accessory crowns, hats, and wigs, for my niece who's mother is undergoing chemo. The barbie is lovely and she said "She looks just like my mommy," which is what I was after. I'm a lower-leg amputee and I love that the dolls reflect real-life situations for kids to play through. Absolutely beautiful!

Adorable Cutie Doll!
This will was lovely! She arrived in perfect condition! She had no neck issue as I have seen other people report and her box was not crushed at all! The only thing I dislike about her are her shoes, as I find them unstylish & loose. They were literally rattling on her feet when I picked her up (I have a bilateral tremor in my wrists but have NEVER experienced that occurrence with a Barbie). All in all she's lovely & I'm very happy to add her to my collection!

Love the doll, but the dress is ugly for her.
Any lady with short hair or rocks a baldhead could have told Mattel that puffy sleeved dress did not go with her style, plus "why the big white boot?" These boot were made for kicking.Well since Amazon loves to send tore up doll boxes to us, I decided to free Amber from her box and redress her. See my pics.

Relatable
I got these for children of cancer survivors. So the kids can relate to their mothers who have lost their hair.Great idea

For my beautiful daughter!
My 6 year old daughter has alopecia and I love that she has representation. Even though she’s not focused on it, it’s something to have for now.
