I received the bass trombone part instead of all three books and the CD. This is not clearly stated in the title. Incredibly disappointing.

This is the author: I am distressed that this set of band books was sold individually. It should only be sold as a collection of band parts. Without all of the parts playing together, the arrangements don't work as independent pieces. Please return your books to Amazon, but don't rate the book with low stars--it wasn't intended to be used that way. Thank you!

From my own years of playing Klezmer, the Joy of Klez arrangements are the best on the market. The tunes are well arranged, not difficult and include a score and parts for violin/mandolin/flute, clarinet, alto sax, trumpet bass and piano. Best is that CDs are available of the Maxwell Street Band to hear them played in style.

This is the score for the set of klezmer band books from the repertoire of the Maxwell Street Klezmer Band. It should come with a CD. It is most useful used by a conductor in conjunction with the full set of books, which are arrangements for clarinet, sax, violin, trumpet, trombone, keyboard, guitar, flute and bass.
