This is one of my favorite Bollywood movies complete with subtitles. This movie is basically a prince and the pauper story told in Bollywood fashion. There is drama, conflict, sibling rivalry, the importance of family, color, true love and of course dancing. The story initially seems predictable, however there is always a twist at the end.

Favorite love story. My wife and I watch it every year on valentines day. It's a Prince and the Pauper type love story. The Prince is being targeted by disgruntled (Spoiler Block) and was injured. However the public can't know and the advisors get lucky that there's a hopeless romantic hero that looks identical to the Prince they convince to act in the Prince's stead. The Pauper discovers trouble within Prince family and seeks to correct it out of love. Chaos ensues! At least as much as any Rom-Com has.I love this movie because of it's message about love; not just romantic love but family love and though divided it can always be resolved if you learn to cast all selfishness aside and help those who have been injured the most. That sometimes people react in anger because they are sad and in pain.I'm sure there's a lot of Bollywood tropes and culture references, but I'm American and don't really understand them all. So if anyone wishes to enlighten me I would to chat.

I dont speak the language, but how CUTE is this film. I absolutely love love love it. Fun, full of good feeling, colorful, funny. Great singing. (Im not a fan of musicals at all!) But this one, is worth it! Very powerful film.

Clean, fun, colorful, can show desire w/o the tongue sucking sex in so many movies. Would be ok for kids. In the end love conquers all. Have watched a few of the Bollywoods now and this one is about the best so far...of course, I'm going to keep watching for more of them...so, you never know if this one will be surpassed!! :)

This edition from ULTRA has problems. The menu chapters do not match the disc. The movie ended abruptly, halfway through. I sent it back and purchased from another vendor, with the same result. Perhaps it will play on some machines, but not my Sony. The movie itself is all glitz and no substance. Silly, predictable, preposterous...Salman has never been so horrible, and he plays a double role! He seems too old for the part. Still, the music and dance sequences are fun to watch by virtue of the costumes, music and choreography. Nitin Jr. scowls through the entire movie. The Kapoor girl is radiant. Watch the songs on You Tube.

An awesome movie with awesome actors and awesome acting, cause because they are awesome. worth to see it and see it 2 times and 3 times and 4 times cause its awesome!. I just hope they put more movies like this and especially comedy, bolywood makes good comedy movies :)
