Great gaming laptop.
Great gaming pc, can pretty much run any game on medium to ultra high settings depending on the game. Only downfall is the battery, if you're gaming you'll want to keep the charger plugged in, played for half and hour before the battery went low when gaming, other than that for the price it's a really good gaming laptop and it's VR ready.

It's fine
The premium HP price tag is sometimes worth it. Sometimes as in this case it is just okay. I am not sure how well the thermal compound is placed but the laptop runs hot. Got the laptop for a relative to venture into PC gaming, and it plays most games fine. Have to adjust settings a bit more than I expected to make sure the laptop doesn't overheat, but it still runs every game. Will need to expand storage and memory eventually. Use aftermarket thermal compound eventually and buy a laptop cooling pad to control thermals. All this to say I was hoping to avoid all these extra expenses by buying a HP Omen. That being said, it just turned out to be an okay gaming laptop.

Good for the money.
I got this laptop about a year and a half ago. Haven't had any issues with it. As other reviews have said, the battery life isn't so great - but its a gaming laptop, so I wasn't expecting much. Been able to play League of Legends and COD Warzone on it without an issue. I think I originally got this on black friday or some other sale day in combination with a Microsoft employee discount for around $700 after tax. I'd say its definitely worth it for that amount. I really like the look of it, the black/red/carbon matches super well - whenever someone sees it they are always intrigued. Razer Synapse also works well on it. The fan can be a little noisy but I'm usually wearing a headset or have the volume loud enough to where that doesn't matter. I also came from a desktop that had a louder fan so maybe that's why I don't care as much. I would definitely suggest getting a laptop stand for this. Overall, I am pretty happy with my purchase. I'd recommend this laptop to any gamers who are casual players and who want a laptop that's good enough to play anything - but that won't cost an arm and a leg.

DON'T BUY THIS!!
The first thing I noticed about this laptop is how short the battery life is. I only get about 1 hour of casual browsing before the battery gets low. This thing has loud fans that make me think something's broken. Don't trust the positive reviews on this thing.

Regretting this purchase
Has never worked correctly. Blue screen of death randomly anytime you attempt to use it for anything. Beyond frustrating to pay so much for something to have is shut down at a whim.
