LOVE this heating pad, but the soft case needs to be BIGGER by a couple inches
I've probably bought half a dozen of these Milliard electric heating pads in the past few years. I keep coming back to them for two reasons: 1.) the control switch is SO easy that I can turn it on, up or down blindfold and 2.) the SOFT velvety case it's in is simply THE BEST on the market! Makes a HUGE difference to have that soft case on my skin or even through clothes - as opposed to those horrid, scratchy, cheap fabric blue cases that SO MANY other heating pad makers use.Yes, the case should be heatproof and fire retardant, but does it HAVE to be those truly AWFUL scratchy covers most other pads have on them?!?!? HATE THEM.This case is superb, but it is exactly 1" too short. Plus, over time, it shrinks a bit, so you end up rubbing skin on the SUPER, razor-sharp edges of the cord where it meets the heating pad. OUCH! OUCH! OUCH!With a longer case - or even one that has a few more snaps on it - the razor sharp edge of that cord would not cut into one's skin.I have to pull the cover down over that area several times a night when using it, but it's still worth it!

BEST EVER!..and update
I'm so tired of 'auto-off' heat pads!!! This one not only STAYS on, but has 3 heat settings, all of which WORK. Many of we older folk have continually cold feet...ones that won't even warm under 5 blankets! And a mattress heat blanket/pad provides too much heat over entire body. My now-deceased mother had said what worked for her was a heat pad that STAYED ON, laid flat underneath the bottom fitted sheet near her feet so it wouldn't crumple up, and that would stay on all night long. THIS IS IT!! And if the only 'one snap' cover bothers buyers, all they have to do is do a couple minutes quick hand stitching to close it up and also keep the 'sharp plastic ends' by the extension/pad from hitting one. My only suggestion is it would be nicer if the hand control were 'halfway' on the nice longer cord so when the pad is at one's feet, it's not so hard to reach... Also nice long cord and great soft cover. Only improvement would be two snaps rather than one... but they all seem to have that shortcoming.

No auto-off function, but has 3 heat options & does get pretty warm
Using to heat a cat bed for my ancient kittoh, so I wanted it not to automatically turn off, but if you're looking for a heating pad for a person you probably don't want this one. Cord is decent length (I could always appreciate slightly longer, but it's longer than average) and it's got 3 heat options which is also great. The cover is a little on the flimsy side (wish it had more than just one button to hold it on/closed), and one side of the cover is soft but the other side is like 80% covered by a giant info panel....weird and not very soft. In general pretty decent, definitely recommend for anyone using for pet beds or similar.

Works great for my foster kittens
When I took in 3 ten day old kittens to bottle feed and love, I was concerned about how to keep them warm. A regular heating pad wasn’t sufficient because of the auto turn off feature. On the advice of the Kitten Lady, Hannah Shaw, I ordered this one. It has performed above and beyond my expectations. I set it at medium heat and put it under a soft blanket. The kittens loved it and it kept them toasty warm for several weeks. The kittens are gone now so I’m using the pad for my 17 year old cat to keep her warm. She likes it so much she only comes off it long enough to eat, potty and get some love.As for me, the washable cover is a plus. I don’t know how the pad would work for people, but for fur babies, it’s great!!

Surprisingly Soft and Hot :) MY FAVE
Love that this STAYS ON! I have chronic pain issues and go through heating pads far too frequently. Compared to Sunbeam and drug store brands, this Milliard heating pad offers superior heat and pain relief. The cover material is plush and fluffy offering a luxurious softness that I wasn't expecting for the bargain price I paid. It's actually softer than the Pure Enrichment Luxe heating pad I purchased last month (for double the price) when my other one died as well. This Milliard heating pad is also hotter than the Pure Enrichment pad by far, I have them both compared in the picture. My only minor gripe would be that the label is sewn into the fabric on one side, but a lot of other heating pads are only soft on one side, so it's really nothing. Great soft hot heating pad... I can get relief for hours now. Happy happy gal 💓

Not Comfortable
I bought this heating pad due to menstrual cramps that only seem to go away with heating pads. I previously used a heating pad that I no longer have and was forced to buy a new one. I chose this one. Let me start off by saying how uncomfortable to use this pad is! It is stiff!!!! sure, when you turn it on it becomes more softer or flexible but it never completely softens up. It becomes highly uncomfortable because you feel like it never molds to where you place it and you constantly need to be adjusting it. Second, the inside of the pad is small compared to the pocket that holds the heating pad. This causes the pad to move around a lot! which is another reason you need to continually be adjusting the pad. Third, the highest heating pad level isn't even that hot!! That was seriously the low, or perhaps medium, to the old heating pad I had!!! and, as I kept having the heating pad on it felt as if it was losing its heating power. It felt less warm. To the point I had to check the control to see if it was turned off. And I literally just bought this pad days ago! Not even a week old!! And fourth, the label on the pad is plain dumb. So big and disturbs being able to fully enjoy the softness of the pad...because you are left with only 1 side to use since the other side is taken by the huge label. And not to mention that the pocket that contains the heating pad isn't as soft as I thought it would. It isn't worth the buy. I'm returning and will buy a different one. I know some people might think I'm complaining to much for a heating pad that is price cheap but, to have so many issues within 1 item is literally a rip off. I'm not expecting perfect but this item is literally not worth it with all its issues.
