Terrible design
This receiver has absolutely terrible design. I purchased this as this is the exact receiver / remote that goes with MINKA-AIRE F524-CL. This receiver is HUGE, such that it does not fit in the fan housing or the junction box. With today’s technology, there is no reason for this receiver to be so large. The only way to use it is to install it in the crawl space above the ceiling. Unfortunately, this was discovered after nearly completing the fan installation. This is an example of one department of Minka-Aire not communicating with another department. Terrible design. Shame on Minka-Air.

Works with Minka fans with LED lights, but it seems to need refining
It suited a need I had for use with a Minka fan with an LED light. However, there is a distinct low hum on the fan, and an audible buzz on the light when used - particularly when dimmed. I might be faulted for wiring incorrectly, or for the power regulation in my home. However, all the other fans with LEDs and factory controls do not have this problem.

Doesn’t work
I’ve connected everything and the one star is that it connects easily, very simple design and simple to connect. Controller lights up. Unfortunately I believe the receiver itself is defective. It doesn’t work.
