I had been using my normal paint brushes for lifting watercolor and finally arrived at these brushes which totally fit the bill. They are totally sturdy and can be used for lifting in the largest or smallest of areas depending on the brush you use. I am a novice at painting however the ease these brushes makes painting so much easier.

I’m really glad I got these scrubber brushes. They work well in lifting and don’t damage my watercolor paper in the process.

They work great for blending color pencil colors and for translucent in ceramics! My grandchildren even use them!

I might just be me and my lack of experience, but these did not work as I thought they would. I watched a tutorial that used a scrubber brush and decided I could use one. This was a good inexpensive set, but it's holding the color despite cleaning them. Might just be me and my technique, not sure.

Perfect for eliminating watercolor mistakes and easy to use. I like the small one for creating lines in areas I painted. Perfect!

The bristles are super stiff and not for detail work the smallest is the only one I've used so far and it scrubs alright. It's easy to grind away your paper, even if you're using 100 cotton, so don't have a heavy hand. They will not scrub out staining paints, like phthalo blue.

As another reviewer had written, I too thought I had ordered the larger brush. This one is too small to do anything. It was too costly to return it.

Like using a toothbrush to lift paint…wouldn’t recommend. Damages paper it’s so hard

I use these on Strathmore 300gsm cold press paper and they scrub and blend beautifully as expected. I use Winsor & Newton Cotman and professional watercolours.
