SO GOOD
Oh man where do I start? Actually... I'm not going to spoil the book bc I NEED people to read it.This book was nothing like I was expecting! The twist had me gasping and teary eyed! The action scenes were written to perfection, as well as the rest of them! My only complaint is that I want it to be longer!!!! I really hope we get a sequel about them in the future 😭

I read it in one sitting! Haven't read anything better in a long time! Movie worthy!
I've read a lot of good stuff and sci-fi lately. But at this moment, fresh off of reading this? It has blown everything else out of my mind. It's such a surprising, smart, funny, well-written story! I stopped to look for more books by this author in anticipation of finishing this and not wanting to have the feeling of deprivation. Nothing else appears to be sci-fi, but if she writes this well, I'm sure the books will be phenomenal, sci-fi or not.It needs to be a movie. ASAP. I wonder if there are already plans in the making, maybe before even the book release. I'm sure they knew they had a winner on their hands and it's an Audible exclusive, so Amazon probably has movie rights. I can't wait and I pray that happens. It's just the type of book that pleases you and then stuns you and then pleases you more, like waves that keep knocking you down. I was satisfied like 4 levels ago and it just kept getting higher and better and deeper. It's such a sneaky sleeper, that's all I can say, but you will be thrilled to have read it.I planned to read ONE chapter. I have grad school homework to do. 3 hours later and I've finished the book! Addictive, amazing and I feel changed, the way you do when you leave a good movie that makes your own reality altered for a few hours outside of the theater! Bravo - and I REALLY hope this author switches to more sci-fi writing!

Delightful
A delightful love story between two people who are both recovering from an accident that has affected their memories, but with a twist--revealed in the title--that one of them is a biomechanical human, basically a replicant from Blade Runner. It's set in somewhat dark future, after WW3. America is run by an organisation called Hive that controls people, or at least its employees, with AIs, robots and fear. The focus is on the love story though, emphasised by the fact that the two never leave the apartment complex where they live. There's a mystery unfolding on the background that upends both their lives when its revealed, done well-enough that I never even suspected it. Quite a lot was left unexplained in the end though, so I assume there will be a series focusing on other characters mentioned in this book. I'd read them.

sweet
I really like the plot the characters and the twist. very short but the eventua back story does lend to the emotional and reality of the story line it, i don’t know I guess the only flaw was that it somehow still very…one tone? Like a bass drop with not enough build up? I would have liked more of a background on the characters, like there motivations, their dreams, their…general personality! Besides just a cut and dry description of the elements I supposed is one way to put it, but still overall it’s very sweet and simple and not a bad read.

The A.I. That Kept Me Interested
The media could not be loaded. The A.I. Who Loved Me is a science fiction contemporary romance that uses the amnesia troupe to covertly further its plot. Trinity is likable and easy to root for, while Li Wei is completely endearing, and easy to fall for. My favorite character by far though is Penny. She has the sass of Siri, the willingness to help of Google, and the personality of Alexa. Sporting a happy and definitive ending, this story would have fallen under the PG-13 realm if it hadn’t been for the 1 ½ love scenes, and the moderate to heavy use of strong language throughout. Although the major love scene is easy to suss out and skip over, the cursing is peppered throughout, with it being the heaviest towards the end due to some highly tense action scenes. Not recommended for anyone under the age of 18.

Difficult to follow initially
It was difficult to follow at first so I essentially skipped a couple of pages and started reading where it made sense. After I completed the novel I re-read the beginning and it made more sense.I really liked the concept of the book. Overall it was well written and aside from profanities, I found myself liking it quite a bit. Some parts were humorous and I found myself laughing out loud. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a different kind of romance novel.

Sexy Sci-Fi Fun!
I enjoyed the hell out of this book. It was a fun adventuresome romp, and a much needed escapist bit of sexy Sci-fi fun. I read it two sittings. If I had to mark it down for anything, it would be that the ending felt very rushed (a lot was explained by a letter left by an off page character and a explanatory flashback sequence). I also wished for a little more intimacy between Li Wei and Trinity before the big conflict scene at the end. However, these minor flaws could easily be forgiven if I knew Ms. Cole intended to write a sequel. I need a sequel! If there's not a sequel, I'll be a bit disappointed, but not enough to stop me from whole-hardheartedly recommending this book.

Page Turner
The scientific implications of a fully actualized AI are fascinating, but this quick, fun read is not bogged down with science. Something is off from the moment the characters are introduced, and that feeling follows through the whole story. So much so that I read it all in an afternoon! There are lots of familiar elements in this story if you're a faction of the action/thriller genre, and reading it all play out is pure entertainment. The story is a quick read that fully pulls you into the story and the characters. I often found myself asking questions just as the characters were asking the same things.I would really like to see more with all of the characters to see how deep the HIVE rabbit hole goes.

Enjoyable read
I bought this book because I love reading stories about Artificial Intelligence. I decided to pick this book up because I was hoping for a light, fun, and fast read, and it was. I liked reading this book but I don't think that I will reread it again and I didn't enjoy this book enough to recommend it. I would say that if you are a fan of Alyssa Cole or of A.I. romance books then this could be the book for you. What I found interesting about this book is how Trinity is an unreliable narrator, and how that adds to the plot. You have the developing romance between Lei Web and Trinity and the underlying plot of the mystery behind the two characters past.Overall, I did like this book enough to want to still want to read Alyssa Cole's other works.

A brilliant sci-fi love story
The book title and cover are quite revealing. It told me that the female character is most likely human and (based on the red light in his left iris) the male character is some kind of cyborg (that is, a being made up of a combination of organic and mechanical material), leading me to come to a conclusion about the kind of ideas and themes that would be explored in the story. As I suspected, the main idea explored in is around what it is to be human. It reminded me of Blade Runner, in that respect, but what lies at the heart of this story is a romance - a beautifully written one.Highly recommended.

Fun but wished it was longer.
I found this a lot of fun, but I rather wish it had been a little longer and developed a bit better. I also feel like the ending was such a cliffhanger and didn't really resolve much? I don't know if Alyssa Cole plans on writing more (I'd eagerly read it if she did) but yeah. It was fun but I wanted more, to be honest.

Fantastic story
This was a really great read, it packed a lot into the novella- thoughts of personhood, identity, memory, choice - all with a compelling story and heartfelt romance. I adored the friendship bonds too, and the small community that they had formed. The writing was as zippy and gripping as always and there were so many sentences that packed an emotional punch.

Really cute.
I enjoyed this a lot. I'm not usually one for sci-fi, but I trust Ms. Cole not to go too far with it. I didn't see the twist coming and I'm glad I waited to hybrid read this with the audio and the ebook. I'm glad I gave this a chance. I recommend this if for nothing else you like a diverse, unique story written by a well loved author.
