Q: What would be a good size for someone 6'1 and fairly skinny 155Ibs

Probably a small. I'm 6'1 165lbs and I'm swimming in the medium. Other reviews said that the sweaters run small, but this thing is way too big for me.

Absolutely order a size larger - I did and it was a great fit! Had to send my first one back (too small). They covered the return shipping. No problem at all!

No lighting up with this sweater

Q: Should I order a size bigger than my original size?

It seems like it is only smaller in the shoulders and arms. I reshaped it a little after washing it and made sure to let it air dry. I think a size up would have been to big for me.
