NIce boots but……….
I purchased these boots to replace a similar pair that had started to split across the front and let the water in? These ones, however, although the same size , were much smaller so I had to return them.

Quite a small fit boot
Was a bit surprised i buy Hi-Tec often and never have any issue with size,i am a 5 1/2 so i get a 6, but these boots are just a bit on the tight side, they fit me ok but are really snug, my last pair were not this tight i was able to ware a good pair of walking socks, this boot will not allow this, i feel the next size up would be to big for me so i am kind of stuck. Its a nice light weight boot, perfect for long treks.

An allrounder boot and good value for money
These boots were excellent value for money. They are water 'resistant' and ideal for every day walking. I have found them quite sturdy and comfortable to wear. I would suggest a waterproof spray before use, as at first they did let a little dampness in.

Good but not waterproof
Loved these boots when I bought them, fit was perfect (took the advice from other reviews & went a size up). However once I was on my trip of a life time & much heavy rain I found out they were NOT waterproof, very disappointed as I liked the look, also I realised after wearing them everyday for 3 months I did have aching ankles. I have now passed them on to a friend I met whilst away but did make sure they know not to wear them in the wet. Disappointed as i’ll have to purchase another pair now after only 3months & hopefully this time find a 100% waterproof pair.

Comfortable as per advertised
I am a regular UK size 3 (for Clarks shoes), and I follow other's review suggestion to get 1 size bigger. It fits well for me with thick hiking socks. The front part is tiny bit snug but it is still ok, hence if you have wide feet, you may feel some pressure around the big toe. Overall, it feels comfortable. The ankle support is good, the insole thickness is fine, can be slightly better. I haven't test to walk in very damp woods etc yet but I would definitely spray a layer of protector first, just in case. With this on sale price, I don't think you can get any better!

Good value comfy boot
Very comfy I’ve had a pair before needed new ones as in all wet weather it’s good to a spare pair.

... them twice a day for over 3 hours in bad weather most of the time so if they weren’t ...
Fell apart after 3 months but I was wearing them twice a day for over 3 hours in bad weather most of the time so if they weren’t constantly used they probably would of lasted longer. But keep waterproofing them and cleaning them so mud doesn’t get clogged up in the material because when that happens it starts to not be waterproof and contribute to them ripping and falling apart

Great pair of boots
I have had these boots for a few months now so can give a balanced review. I am really pleased with them! They have proved waterproof in long grass, deep mud and puddles. They are very comfortable to wear and are holding together well. I wear them for dog walking in the woods and along a disused railway line, which means they are worn everyday for about 2 hours. However they are comfortable enough to wear for longer. Personally I will be buying another pair when the time comes (which I hope isn't for a while!).
