The Morganville Vampires, Vol. 2 (Midnight Alley / Feast of Fools)

I will comment here for the entire work (overlooking/forgiving all typos in the books) which I purchased after reading only the first two books: Morganville Vampires is one of, if not the best fiction series that I've ever had the pleasure--and it was--of reading. The storytelling was FANtastic, the characters were fun to know... LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Myrnin, but a little creeped out about his feelings for Claire--he may have looked like he was in his twenties, but not. Ew. Even then, still too old for her (Caine got that dynamic right). Liked Amelie's indifference and fierceness. Michael totally should have gone with that first little inkling of his when he was a ghostpire and crushing on Claire. Claire, who I'd hoped would vamp out, but didn't, should have followed her first instincts as well, when she was crushing on Michael. Best case scenario: Claire vamps out, she and Michael wait until Shane and Eve are both dead and gone, then she and Michael are free to live [happily/unhappily/creepily/fill in the blank] ever after. Shane and Eve vamp slaying dynamic duo and totally hot together as a couple. Although Caine is 1 for 3 in the character dynamics department, I've got nothing but love for the MV series.

Midnight AlleyI love the characters--Claire, Shane, Eve, and Michael! After finishing the third book they feel like old friends. I can't wait for book 4! Every book ends with a satisfying conclusion but also a cliffhanger for the next book. I never know what new deadly situation Claire and her friends will end up in. And I can't wait to find out. The writing is smooth and the pacing keeps you turning pages into the wee hours of the morning. I must have said one more chapter thirty times this week. So excited to read the next one!Feast of FoolsRachel Caine does it again! She delivers a page turner with several unexpected twists! So many great moments where I leapt out of my chair. I don't know how she keeps ratcheting up the tension but she does! I love the shift in vampire-human relations as an evil vampire threatens all in Morganville. It is so fun to watch the characters develop further. Claire has really come into her own. Epically great moments and the cliffhanger ending means I must start book 5 ASAP!

I just wrote a review for Betrayed from the HOUSE OF NIGHT series. I love that series but this series is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!!!! I have them ALL!!!! House of night has more action than Twilight in my opinion, but this series of books has EVEN MORE ACTION than House of Night!!!! Like I said before in previous reviews, the books that I buy from Amazon, so far, have arrived on time and in very good shape. and that is with me buying used books. I don't even bother checking in the stores anymore, I just check on amazon.com to see if the next book that I want to read is available, and it usually is.

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! This series is better than Twilight. I am starting to read Volume 4 (Fade Out/Kiss of Death), just finished Volume 3 (lord of misrule/carpe corpus). I love the two books in one. My favorite character is Claire, she is a true hero in my book. These books do have a moral to the story kind of thing, it does not matter what you look like, or what your beliefs are, people should be treated with respect and treated the same. Rachel Caine is a truely gifted author and I would love to see these books turn into movies or mini series on television.

I absolutely adore this series! I was so happy when I came across Volume 1 on a beach trip (I didn’t know they released them in volumes) and I found the other volumes online! It arrived in great condition and on time.

This contain the 3rd & 4th books in the Morganville Vampires series. Try Glass Houses 1st, because if you love the storyline & characters as much as I did, you'll want to buy the 1st 8 volumes in a 4-book set of large paperbacks. Yesterday I ordered the next 6. You can also read each 1 separately on Kindle, but they are so good, you'll want a copy on your shelves.

Just finished Midnight Alley and Feast of Fools.....I am EXHAUSTED....LOL....These books never slow down...something happens constantly...edge of your seat page turner...Love Claire and Eve and Shane and Michael...Amelie is complicated but I am starting to like her...let me just end by saying...LOVE, LOVE, LOVE MY MYRNIN AND VAMPIRE BUNNY SLIPPERS....Again Rachel Caine is a Genius....WOW

Omg I love this book so much! It only took me a week to read it! These books are probably my favorite series ever and I love them so much. If u want a vampire book, you should check out this series
