Hard to describe the feel of material - LIKE IT!
Hard to describe the feel of this material. It's all of the following:1. It's 'plasticy' enough that it easily sheds dirt/debris. If that makes sense.2. It's soft enough that it's very comfortable, even against your bare skin.3. It doesn't smother you and feel hot (like a fleece feels) while at the same time keeping the chill air off you.4. It's amazingly thin so as to easily stuff into the storage sack.5. Definitely feels very durable and it should last many years.I saw this blanket demonstrated by a very reliable Youtube gear reviewer and he was totally correct with his high rating for it.

Woobie Upgrade
This is almost exactly the same size as my poncho liner, and is nearly identical weight and packs down to about the same size as the woobie. It feels a bit more substantial. It is made of 21st century materials. The brown color looks good and is not likely to show mud. I'll see how it does in the field but this appears to be a good piece of camping gear.Might be a bit heavy for long distance hiking, then again, what isn't?

Excellent warmth and lightweight
Great blanket, as a single guy, this doubles as my camping blanket and occasionally as an extra warmth at home too.

Medium sized, and thinnish.
I ordered two of these (black and coyote) for the cars/emergency bags. They are the equivalent to "sleeping bag blankets" essentially. The material and construction is that of a light sleeping back. One thick, shiny nylon side for the outside, and a thinner more comfortable shiny nylon inside. There is no light fluffy or fleece side. It's relatively warm, but not super warm. And the size.... I'm 6 feet tall, and both are just as tall as me. They cover my feet but not my head.. Maybe about 72 inches long or so. Good for a blanket on a warm or cool night, but not much more. ANY decent lightweight sleeping bag will give you better sleeping coverage and protection. However, if you want more of a blanket, and light coverage, this thing is pretty good. If you are short or petite, even better. It has it's place as a medium sized blanket for a car, camper, travel, or emergency bag for summer. Or if you want an added blanket in a sleeping bag. If you want cold weather/winter protection, look a little further. It's smaller than the picture makes it seem too. But it's still nice in it's own way.The stuff sack is convenient but only OK. The compression straps are stitched into the seam on one end and not over the top. It will rip soon. The stitches are already popping. For the price you get a nice sleeping-bag style blanket. It could have it's place. But it has limitations in size and coverage, I'm still keeping it, because I'm in Florida.Update: This is a decent blanket. It's like a sleeping bag blanket. Nylon on both sides and a little bit of insulation. It's comfortable. In the picture there, the blanket is probably sideways and going to that guys knees only. I turned the A/C to 69 and slept on top of the bed in just this for a week in shorts and a light sweatshirt with a fan blowing on me. Slept like a baby. The nylon stops a breeze, and I'd say maybe adds 10-15 degrees of warmth. This would be a nice blanket to have in a car for an event, for sitting on the porch or at a casual campsite. It would also work for camping in warm weather as your sleep system (ie-Florida or similar or summers elsewhere) Heck you could pull it in your sleeping bag as a "blankie" and it would probably feel great, but it's not going to help you much in winter or fall cold. ANY light weight sleeping bag wound be much better for that. It does pack down to a little bigger than a foot ball.

Amazing blanket for deployments!
Awesome blanket. Light weight, compact and very easy to travel with. I brought this to Iraq and it withstood the elements very well. Would buy again if needed but this blanket held up to everything. Waterproof and very easy to clean. Kept me warm on some very cold nights. Will recommend to all my buddies 100%.

the stuff sac is better then i expected
I bought this blanket with the intention of having it in my get home bag. With a combination of it and a "casualty blanket" ( tarp with Mylar on one side and a olive drab tarp on the other with grommets at the corners ) i believe i could make a primitive shelter out of the casualty blanket and cover myself with the snugpak blanket and stay reasonably warm in the winter time assuming i also have on winter rated clothing.the stuff sac is better then i expected. the blanket keeps me warmer then i expected. from what i have found uncomfortably warm in a 67 degree house. if i had to rate it against a standard military issue poncho liner ( woobie) i would choose the snugpak blanket every time. its not sewn across the middle like a poncho liner so the insulation has more loft hence keeps you warmer! im 6'1" and 270lbs and the blanket covers me with no problem! This blanket has far exceeded my expectations in every way. It packs down to maybe 30% larger then a 32oz nalgene bottle! I would not hesitate to buy another one to stick in another bag or to have for camping!

A great lightweight blanket.
I ordered this blanket to have on the couch because the wife likes to keep the thermostat lower than I prefer. After it arrived and I started using it, the fights over the thermostat have ended.I am going to have to order at least one more though because my pups have decided that they like to use it also, and as the saying goes “let sleeping dogs lie”.We all highly recommend this product.
