This rainbow of bibs IS the end of the rainbow
Confession: my 5-month-old daughter is a drooler. We knew she probably would be before she was born because my husband was a drooler (when he was a baby). As such, I'd purchased lots and lots of bibs before my baby was born. It's not that I don't love my baby and all her messiness, but I'm just not a body fluids person. Also, I hate wet clothes, I hate chunks of food sticking to clothes, and I hate having to change outfits all the time because food and drool get all over them. I hate these things for myself and for my baby. Now, once my baby was born, I learned a lot about bibs that I didn't know when I was scooping up every bib I could get my hands on before she was born...First, I learned that size matters. Large bibs get cumbersome. Bibs that wrap all around the baby (like those fabulous Aden and Anais bib/burb cloth devices), are just too much when I need to put a bib on my baby when she's in the carseat, for example. Bibs that are too small tend to not provide enough coverage when my daughter turns her head and spits up or when she pulls her cute little fists to her face and knocks the bib aside. These bibs are the perfect size. Perfect.Secondly, I learned that the clasp can make the difference between tears and laughter--mine and my daughters. Some bibs have Velcro closures that are just so, so awful...the edge of the Velcro pulls up away from the fabric and scratches my daughter on the neck. Other bibs have cheap Velcro that is not name brand and that does not actually hold the bib closed. Still, other bibs are made with snaps, which always stay shut and never scratch a sensitive area--but they have be tremendously difficult to get closed--particularly if you're trying to do it with one hand, as I often am while holding my daughter. These bibs have just the right Velcro (not sure if it's name brand--and don't care). It provides full coverage without being scratchy--and I can secure the closure with just one hand. Finally, for the purposes of keeping this review short, material. I have plastic bibs, rubber bibs, terrycloth bibs, and every other material you can image. I'm serious--I went bib crazy. I've found that some bibs--like the muslin bibs from Aden and Anais--are just fabulous at absorbing spit and wiping a cute little face clean. However, they do nothing for spit-up chunks and food dribble--it just pools and puddles and gets caked in. Plastic bibs are great for feeding time when you can take it over to the sink and clean it immediately after--or as soon as your baby is done rubbing her hands all in the dribbled food that's all over the bib. These bibs are great for catching spit-up, chunky stuff, and food--as long as you clean them in a washer right after. Plus, they are soft so if you find a clean corner when your baby is done eating or drooling or whatever, you can wipe her face clean! All in all, the only thing I would change about these bibs is that I would make them odor resistant. Like with my daughters little outfits, if I don't change these bibs soon after she's spit up, they (the bib and the baby) very quickly smell like spoiled milk and I find that odor repugnant. As soon as you remove the bib, the baby goes back to smelling sweet and delicious. So--it's a good thing there are so many of these in a pack. Plus--you can find one to match any outfit--yours and your baby's!

BEST BIB SO FAR....
These bibs are the best I've tried so far (out of about 6 different brands). I have purchased at least 3 sets of 10, in both the boy and girl colors.Pros:-beautiful, color-fast colors-big variety of colors in one 10-pack. I can always find a bib to match whatever outfit he is wearing.-absent of cutesy distracting baby designs and obnoxious patterns. My 16-month old has been wearing bibs all day every day for a year, and I very quickly got tired of seeing bibs with "MONKEY BOY" or "POWER DROOLER" all over them. They are a part of his wardrobe, and I want them to be as inconspicuous as possible.-soft-absorbent-truly water resistant: there is a waterproof layer sandwiched between the two layers of terry cloth-strong velcro-both the fabric AND the velcro stay perfectly flat after repeated washings, rather than buckling or curling from the dryer like many others I have gone through-the strong velcro STAYS strong after repeated washings, not getting weaker or with repeated use or exposure to the dryer (also like many others I have gone through)-perfect size...not too big, not too small-really decent price for a pack of 10 in my opinionConsiderations:-You must make sure that the velcro is closed (scratchy velcro half fastened to the soft half of the velcro) when you wash them with other delicate fabrics, like a satin-feel baby blanket, or the very strong velcro will catch those delicate materials. To me, this is a common-sense laundering issue, not a product flaw, hence my rating of 5 stars. You also have to make sure the velcro is fastened well (that the two pieces match up, no overlapping, etc.) when you put it on your baby. Since the velcro is very strong (and scratchy when opened), it can irritate sensitive baby skin. Again, a common sense issue, since all you have to do is make sure the two velcro halves match up when you fasten the bib, then no scratchy parts are exposed to skin. Again, common sense and in my opinion not a product flaw.Edit on 3/27/2013: I am now using the very same bibs on my 18 month old daughter. So these bibs have been in constant use since November of 2009, well over 3 years, and still look great...colors are still bright, terrycloth hasn't pilled, waterproof layer between the terry layers is still fully intact, and they come out of the dryer essentially flat (not curled from the low heat). Velcro still super sticky. I haven't had to throw a SINGLE ONE out...really amazing. I'm pleasantly shocked at how well they've held up!

Best bibs!!
These are the absolute best bibs around for drool/spit up (not for eating, go with silicone). We were cycling through a few of these per day when our baby was in her peak spitting up/teething drool phase.

Wish I could give these 100000 stars!!!
I can’t say how much I love these! They are super absorbent, easy to clean, great colors, and last more than 5 seconds on my super reflux baby. Little pricey but so worth it!!!

Works good for heavy slobbers
Very good bibs thru did exactly what I needed them to do. I still had to change them every few hours but they kept my babies shirt from getting wet. If they were a little more roomy around the neck I would of gave 5 stars.

Great bibs!
Theses bibs are wonderful. I got a pack of the boy colors (because I am more partial to those colors) as a baby shower gift and liked them so much I got the girl colors as well. The patterned bibs with sayings and pictures are cute but I quickly figured out that the plain ones are much more practical. The embroidery usually just gets in the way and leaves less space to wipe with. These are just fabric and much more practical. They have a waterproof inner layer that is wonderful for when an infant vomits milk all over. If you are quick you can catch and contain it in these bibs and given a few seconds, it will absorb most of it so you don't have it sloshing as you try and remove it from your child. On that note, I have found that bibs with snaps are not as practical either, at least not for an infant. Maybe when they are older and are tugging on bibs more. These have a strong velcro clasp that is good for little ones and will probably hold well for when my daughter is older. Also, the velcro allows the bib to be used for different sized necks. When she was smaller, we still used the ones for 3+ months and velcroed it a little tighter.
