Panasonic Any-Battery LED Flashlight BF-BM10-W White (Japan Import)

I like the inventiveness of this product and its design. I think that it is an excellent flashlight to have around in case of emergencies. Many times if the power goes out and your flashlight you are using is low on battery power, it is a scramble to find the correct type of battery and the correct number of that type of battery to make your flashlight bright and work again before it goes out completely. This flashlight can run on one AAA, one AA, 1C, or 1D, so, whatever you have lying around the house. You also can put one of each of those type of batteries in this flashlight and when one goes dim or dies You can just rotate the body of the flashlight and select a fresh new battery that is already inside of the flashlight. I have bought a lot of these for gifts for others. The flashlight is not very bright, and won't flood a room with light, but it does provide adequate light during a power outage. It is just not designed to be a powerful area light, it is designed to provide you with basic lighting from many different types of batteries that you may have lying around.

The D-cell (setting 1) is very unreliable. Two of the three BF-BM10s that I ordered do not function with a D-cell regardless of how many other batteries are loaded. I also tried using a copper shim to increase pressure without any luck, so I am lost as to why the D battery setting tends not to work, but it seems to be a design flaw.Otherwise, it's a brilliant little flashlight, if not very bright or with a very useful spread. But for the money, it's a great cost, it's a great one to have around. Just don't count on being able to use D cells with it. It's really a 3-battery light (C/AA/AAA).

This flashlight uses any battery from AAA - AA - C - D. We all have a few single batteries in the junk drawer so now they have a use. Simply turn the dial to choose the battery type. Instructions are in Japanese but the flashlight is intuitive. After a few minutes I was up and running. Great idea!

I bought this for emergency use because of the utility of it taking AA, AAA, D or C size batteries. While it may be a bit large to tote around like a smaller pocket flashlight it's perfect for room illumination or walking outside after dark. It throws a decent amount of light. Even though the instructions are in Chinese it's not too difficult to figure out how to operate. Hint: The front half twists to turn on the light and the back half twists off to load one or more batteries. Seems pretty well-made. I think it's worth the price. This is going to replace my bedside flashlight because it'll be easier to find in the dark than my smaller tubular LED lights.

So very easy to use, the perfect form of light. The light will work using any of the batteries stated, the number indicates which battery you have inside, if using one at a time.The light delivered is bright white light.

Easy to use light that will run on any battery AAA through D. Simple to use. Even if you don't read Japanese, it is easy enough to figure out. You can put only one battery in, or you can put up to 4 batteries in.

It's ok, but there is only Japanese writing on the box, which is of no help. I put in an AAA, an AA, a C, and a D battery, and see no difference in the brightness at any time. There are numbers on the light which I "think"? they indicate how many batteries it is using. Oddly enough, it will light on 3, 2, and 4, but not 1. It is smaller than I imagined, and I can't understand the high price, for there is little special about this light. Still, it's a Panasonic, and that means it will outlast me! To be honest though, it does not throw out much light for the price.Oh, it is not made in Japan. (China)
