Saved me so much hassle and stopped the flaking
We bought a leather couch that supposedly was leather in all of the "touch areas"... Welp, apparently they don't account for people touching the console area... Ours started to lift in a small area (about 1in x 1/2in) and then flaked off.. I was livid as the couch was not cheap. I looked for solutions due to the unique color of the couch, I wanted some to match. I am so thankful I found this product. It was the correct size and thickness needed to completely cover the area and the immediate surrounding areas, I feel confident it is protecting the area from further damage.Navy was a little darker than our "Chicago blue" couch, but honestly it is so close I don't care.Patch was super easy to apply. I did cut it to curve with the console/ ensure coverage where needed -- it is holding up fine and I plan to purchase more if needed in the future.Excellent product and quality!

Too expensive but great results
Way overpriced at $17 for on 4x8" patch. Color match is uncertain from the product photos. So why 5 stars....the patch works extremely well.I have a 10 year old dark brown leather sofa with several worn spots, one on each arm, a couple on the seat. These had evolved into ragged holes about the size of a quarter with foam backing exposed. Looking through the repair options I decided to order these patches despite the difficulty of determining the actual color and effectiveness of the patch. The AZ reviews were far better than the other choices. The order arrived and the first surprise: The patches were darker brown than they appeared on the Amazon site and they were a very good match to the color of my sofa. The final appearance when installed integrated well with the background leather of the couch and the patches weren't noticeable to the casual observer. Only close inspection would one realize the arms were patched. I am very happy with the results and feel much better about the exorbitant cost.A few notes on installation:Install these carefully. The glue backing is extremely good, once in place you won't move them without tearing the leather. A couple reviews indicated that they didn't stick well. I can only surmise that the user did not properly clean the leather surface (removing any oils and/or leather treatment on it).Do not remove all the backing paper before installing the patch. Here's the trick:1. Peel back about one inch at one end and fold that one inch of paper back against the patch.2. Carefully stick that one exposed inch of glue to the proper spot. That will fix the position of the patch.3. Reach under the patch, grab the end of the peeled backing and slowly peel it down the rest of the way while using your other hand to smooth the patch in place.

Worked Great on Arm Rests for About a Year
I really like the product. I have a couple of Herman Miller Aeron chairs and on my older one, the leather on the arm rests just started cracking. This chair sees daily use on weekdays (home office) and I actively use my arm rests throughout the day. I found these when I broke down and started looking at replacement parts. For my needs, these worked great. They provided the right size of coverage over the cracked area and cover a majority of the arm rest and they went on easily. Happy camper with initial results and all worked well.Fast forward to a year later. The adhesive underneath is a lot like duct tape. After a year of grind, the adhesive is starting to wear. These are starting to slide from their original position and exposing the tacky surface below. They are also starting to peel at the edges. I have a feeling that these would last longer on a different type of surface that did not see the amount of use and friction that my arm rests do.The net is that one year out I am looking to replace these as I am getting tired of putting my arm down in the sticky stuff and having these sliding around. Debating whether I just use these again or bite the bullet and replace the arm rests at this time.

Very pleased and would purchase again!
I applied this to a small worn part of leather couch. The product seems to have excellent durability and adhesive quality. It's only been a month since I applied it, but at this point I see no peeling or corners turning up. (And since the patch is on the seating surface of a heavily used couch, it's getting lots of use/testing.) The patch surface has a faux leather/rubberish texture that is comfortable, durable and easy to clean. The "brown" is definitely a dark brown. Sort of chocolate. Wish there were a few more color choices in the brown family (maybe more natural reddish brown) and that they made a larger patch or some additional shapes (square, round, etc). Overall though, very please with this product and would buy again.I should also note, that I previously used the Match 'n Patch realistic brown leather tape. That product was a much better color match with my couch ... from a distance of a couple feet you could barely notice it's "patched". However the product truly is a duct tape like product. The finish looks great, but it has a duct tape like feel/quality and it's not very durable. After a month of high use the edges were peeling, etc. Based on looks alone Match 'n Patch would be better. So if you're patching something that doesn't get much use/wear and tear you should give this a try. But if you're looking for a durable product with high adhesive quality I would go with the MastaPlast Peel and Stick.
