Bagpipers use these too.
I received the Orthodontic rubber bands on Wednesday, 25 May. As I had hoped, these bands work perfectly for placing onto the practice chanter reed to hold it a bit more in an open position to make it easier to play the chanter. Just be sure to order the 1/4" band size since they double over easily enough and won't snap unless undue force is applied - and watch the edge of the reed staple, it could be cut if the piper isn't careful.Overall, this is a great product which will make my piping a lot easier, when needed. The customer service staff at Doctored Locks is a very customer friendly lot. Caitlyn from Doctored Locks called me in response to an email I sent to the company about a perceived problem I was having and she explained the circumstance and the motive of the "overlord". She explained a way to circumvent this situation from happening again. I am now positive that this will not happen again and I have full trust in the Doctored Locks staff and organisation. I recommend this company and their products to all pipers who will want to use these little helpers.I'd like to say to Doctored Locks, you might like to advertise this item as useful to bagpipers also.

Good for teeth and for some people; the jaw joint
I had braces years ago in 1982. Teeth stuck out, with big spaces entire youth in high school, US Army. This is the reason I never got married; I was too ugly, no one wanted me. (At least no one that I wanted.)So I finally got braces in my 20's.I now felt attractive, accepted in the male society. What fool I was! Started dating every handsome man that would take me.This 'judging by looks' and only other requirement was that they liked drinking a LOT of beer and country and heavy metal music. Some of us make bad choices when young. A few of these boyfriends and even dates were violent, hit me in the head. This can cause a misaligned jaw. I often felt that me retainer (and medical... doctors treatment) helped keep the jaw and neck healthy. In Oct-Dec 2014 I stumbled onto a very bad dentist on Pleasant Str, Worcester, MA. One of the most unpleasant streets I ever lived on.She was from a poor country and struggling to make money; used cheap strange products, filling material from India, no hygiene, false x-rays...She filled one tooth that I needed done. Only had one cavity. Then she suddenly raced over many of my front and bottom teeth with a drill/sander type machine. Then she placed a white superglue like stuff on them. Then she wanted me to come back for endless exams every month as she just looked at the glue. Would say no cavities, but then wants to do more drilling.I finally realized she just wanted to use up the insurance money. She also does cosmetic dentistry. I did not want or need it. I later saw many peoples reviews on the internet saying the exact same thing happened to them. Plastic stuff breaking off in shape pieces. The police were called in one family's case.Point of this story; The glue caps she placed on my teeth made my bite uneven and ineffective when eating. This also misaligned the jaw. The muscles-joints in my neck and jaw, ears became soar, stiff. I developed a bell like sound and roaring in the left ear; same side where she placed the most glue on the teeth.A couple weeks ago I wondered about this and decided to try to reverse her work; My pet squirrel sands down his tooth on a rock in my garden. I tired it, being careful not to sand the tooth, to only chip off the glue she put on the teeth. Took a week later but it now feels like my teeth, bite is even. Then tension in the neck, ear, bell sounds is 90% gone.I noticed the misaligned jaw-teeth brought back the space in my teeth. I bought the elastics on Amazon to correct this. Its helping! The elastics are strong, just like the ones the orthodontic gave me in my 20's. Also using retainer.

Bands work great
The shipping took a little longer than I would have liked seeing as I paid for expedited shipping, about a week longer actually. The bands themselves work perfect they didn't close my gap completely, but I just got a smaller band and the gap closed. I use these to maintain my teeth in the position they are in. When I don't feel like wearing my retainer I use these they are thin and don't make my teeth hurt. I also noticed that now that my gap is closed these don't try to continue to move my teeth when I wear them like my smaller bands do. I would highly recommend these to anyone who just wants to close the gap they have. Also get a retainer once you have your teeth where you want them, if not your teeth will shift and your gap will reopen, not as big as it was but it will open. Also if you notice that they bands rise up to your gums when you put them on, take them off and wipe your teeth dry then put them on and they will not move.

Medium Weight Works Great!
07/11/21 Update : Still very happy with my purchase. I used the whole package up and every band was perfect in shape, size and strength. I am hoping to get another package from this company in the same size, but a lighter weight for a finer coat.******Haven't had them long enough to judge the durability, but so far so good!I use these bands for the hair in-between my Yorkies eyes, which most people keep trimmed.I feel that they have much less eye irritation and less eye goober by letting hair grow and using the bands to help keep the hair out of the way.I was looking for and prefer alighter weight band for this area.I use a 1/4" heavier one for their bows.♡ Forgive me IF these pictures don't have the center band- too small to see, and they're in 99.9% of the time!!
