Pretty Decent LARGE umbrella
This review is for the 11 ft, 8 rib crank umbrella.I really like these. We have two. The material is quality constructed with durable stitching. The frame is sturdy and the mechanism is smooth, but one of the umbrellas had a “bur” or so thing stuck on the hinge that caused the trolley to stick at the joint. A quick hit with a file fixed it and problems since.I like the heft of the tilting hinge which is plenty for this big umbrella. Easy to push locking button. This past winter we did not get our patio furniture covered before first snow including umbrellas. We have a total of 6 (2 of this brand). Since 4 of them were a few years old we just left them tied up for winter. These two umbrellas weathered the Cleveland winter beautifully. And, since they were on our wrap around decks, we even occasionally used them on the sunny days throughout. We plan on replacing the other 4 at the end of this season for next year, and it will be with the 9 ft version of these if they are available..The only complaint I have is the locking button for the pole sections is pretty tight and holes has to be aligned spot on or button doesn’t seat. But then I didn’t take them down, so no biggie. Thanks for reading

Sturdy umbrella for a great price
I am very happy with this umbrella. It is a larger umbrella, which is great for providing shade for everyone seated at our patio table. It is easy to put up and down. The tilt feature works well, but it can be a challenge for shorter people to reach high enough to tilt or un-tilt it.It is also very durable. It has been outside on our patio for many extremely windy days and has not shown any damage. The color is also very vibrant and the photos on the product page are very accurate to the true color of the item. The color does not appear to have faded in the sun, either, although it is only 1 year old at this point.I would recommend this umbrella to anyone that needs a new umbrella for their patio.

The aluminum patio umbrella’s are much better than steel
I haven’t even used it more than than twice and the switch-knob broke ( that’s the button that makes the umbrella tilt. While I already reviewed the comments about how the tilt-button breaks easily,so I said to myself I am just not going to use the button, and after a few hours I saw the umbrella tilted and went to inspect it and that’s when I discovered the broken button. I believe that because the umbrella is made out of steel not aluminum, than there was to much weight pressing against the tilt-button,also the tilt button is very light and looks like it’s made from tie cast metal which is very weak. Why didn’t they make this button out of steel like the rest of it, or better yet don’t make a tilt button at all. If your using this in your yard then a few water hose-clamps will fix this problem, but not if your gonna be putting it in and out of your car or truck as a temporary shade fixer.....to much trouble to be tightening and losing the clamps all the time....

Amazon took care of the fact that it came broken in a very quick fashion!!!!
My umbrella came broken. It would lean to the side and not stand straight. The knob for lowering it to the side was broken. Amazon was quick to respond to my request for a replacement. They sent out a new one right a way and told me to send back the broken one within a few weeks. I was upset that my umbrella came broken but I can't complain for Amazon was right on the problem and solved it right away. I know that sometimes products can not work right, and may be broken. I was impressed how Amazon took care of the problem right away.

The tilt button has broken after only two weeks.
The umbrella broke after only two weeks and the seller has been no help and neither has Amazon. Good luck getting any costumer support from either. Do the right thing and refund or replace because the product must be defective to break like that during normal operations. It’s not like we left the umbrella open during a storm. If I were anyone purchasing an umbrella for their patio think twice. If there was a way to fix it myself I would. I hope you have better luck than I did.Adam FischerI want everyone to know that patio watcher did the right thing and sent a brand new umbrella. It took a little while to get here. I think they deserve a second chance. Good job everyone at patio watcher.Thank youAdam Fischer

Sturdy In Windy Weather
We chose this product because it had the width we needed for shade without paying a premium for a very large round umbrella. The rectangular shape allows for easy placement when sitting underneath. In addition the shaft is very strong and the umbrella has always stood up to the strong winds (which seem to come through when you least expect it and do not have time to drop the umbrella down). I also like the quality if the ties - unlike other umbrellas we have owned, these are strongly sewn in for the stress you may need to keep the knot tied. And, we love the color and how it has lasted and not faded. Very happy.

Seems very nice for the price!
We just replaced a more expensive umbrella that broke due to me forgetting to put it down before a thunder storm hit. This was cheaper than the one we replaced and the material of the umbrella is thicker, feels nicer quality wise, and the umbrella in general seems way sturdier. Also something I LOVE is it has a crank and no pin at the top to hold it up like my last one. You just crank up and it’s stable and good to go. Very easy to use.

Great value
Purchased this umbrella almost a year ago. Holding up well so far. No noticeable fading, although I do store it away for the winter. This is not a high end umbrella, but I do feel it is a great value for the money. We changed from a 7.5' to an 11' umbrella, and it was well worth it. If the wind blows more than a few mph, I don't know how well it will handle it. Seems like it may meet its demise if caught in too much wind while open. I would purchase this again, for sure.
