A fabulous product!
I purchased this for my twenty-month old granddaughter for Christmas, and I (and she) could not be any more in love with a toy.At first I hesitated to spend this much money for a set of blocks, but you know what they say about grandparents spoiling the grandchildren. She loves blocks of all kinds, and I thought the idea of the magnets sounded pretty neat. When I opened the shipping package, I was a little taken aback that I had spent this much money for such a small item. The blocks are in a solid box that is approximately 6x6x4.But it's when the girl opened the box that the fun began. First of all, the blocks are lovely. They are beautifully finished in pastel colors. The finish is as smooth as a fine piece of furniture, and they click and slide easily. They attract each other, they repel each other, they can build fantastical objects or mundane objects. They can be tightly linked together to form solids, or they can be linked in other ways to make bridges, cages for little animals, and much more. Some of the best features:- A lovely "idea" booklet is included.- The magnets are so deeply embedded in the blocks that both my son and I spent time wondering "How do they do that?"- Toddlers love blocks, and they also love to knock block structures down; these blocks do not stray far from their brothers, so lost blocks may be a thing of the past.- The packaging is simple, but sturdy - very understated, rather than showy.- As an added plus, the company is devoted to sustainable business practices and the blocks are made in Honduras, where the employees are paid working wages, and much of the profit goes to reforestation (I may be overstating, but you get the idea).- The blocks will not get old; I envision adding to her set for many years to come.My advice: do not let the apparently dear price dissuade you; these blocks are worth every penny.

Our kids love these!
We bought these for our two and three year old for Christmas and they are a hit! It took them a few days to understand how the magnets work but they caught on quickly. Some of the magnets repel and some connect so it can be a little tricky to figure out where all the magnets are and which pieces connect initially. Its probably best for children over three years old but our two year old can make objects with some guidance. The box has several pictures of fun animals and vehicles that can be made with the set that I was able to put together without instructions, just by looking at the picture. The box itself is very attractive and makes for a nice gift. They are high quality blocks and we plan on buying a larger set to add onto what we have. These pastel colors are very nice and vibrant. You can see the seams on a few of the blocks but I don't for see them coming apart so the magnets are exposed. We generally shy away from magnetic toys for our younger children because of the serious damage swallowing magnets can cause in young children but we feel these are safe. You can make plenty of fun structures and animals with this set but we feel short on blocks if there is three or four of us playing with them together. This is a wonderful starter set!

Airplane Distraction
I bought this rather than the Tegu travel sets because I had two kiddos to distract. As well as price per block being in favor of this set.Overalls, it was 100% worth it. Solid distraction for my two year old boy AND five year old girl on the long plane ride. I'm talking about three different but entire 20mins of them sitting and playing nicely rather than staring at screens, screaming at nothing, or telling me they're hungry. These were worth those small respites!

We love these, but more blocks are needed to make play fun $$$
My little one has loved these blocks since she was just a few months old. We previously owned a set of 24 blocks with less variability in the block sizes than this set. The small squares and angled blocks make it possible to create a variety of designs, which is a bonus over the other set we already owned. With that said, there is not a lot of play that can be done with only 24 blocks, you almost need to plan on buying more for these to be fun and engaging as the child grows. Thus the reason for 4 stars, these are so expensive when it is inevitable that you will need more for them to be fun. Another disappointment I had with this set was the box it arrives in. While the box was large enough to fit in our other 24 blocks (48 total), that meant it was actually half empty upon opening, so the set seems less impressive upon opening. The box to our first set was thicker cardboard and folded over with flaps to keep it shut. The lid for this box will just lift up, there is nothing to keep the box held shut to hold the blocks for storage. If you don't plan to store your blocks in the box, then this isn't a problem. Overall, we love these blocks. The colors are beautiful, the wood is so smooth, and the magnets are super strong, yet well encased so there will be no issues with a toddler or baby accidentally swallowing. The downside is the steep price for what you actually get.

TEGU TEGU TEGU!
These blocks are amazing. Tegu is like the high end of magnetic blocks. There are other magnetic blocks on the market of course, just like there are many purses and shoes of all price points. However, these blocks are the top of the line. They do not disappoint and you can combine many sets to create one big collection for your kid(s). The colors are so aesthetically pleasing. They also make the kids think about which ends connect with which. Not all the blocks have a ton of magnets spread out through them, you have to look for the part that is magnetized and then figure out how to use it. I personally love these blocks and creating different shapes and structures with them.

Very cool
I bought these for a gift in a store and after I saw the 3 year old play with them immediately ordered this set. Lots of options of what to make and the magnets hold the blocks together. Very fun!
