Install is pretty easy, few things to know tho
#1) If you have a crewcab longbed, the ebrake relocation bracket gets installed on the one 2nd from the back, not the furthest back one as the instructions say. Release the ebrake before doing this, will be easier, block your tire first.#2) The instructions will show front and back linkage assembly, that is no longer the case, all 4 they send are identical with mounting holes that cover all spots, don't be surprised if your truck only has 3 bolts but there are 4 mounts on the assembly.#3) Before you put the motors on, try and get the arms at the same extension, about 90degrees is best. This will make mounting the board later on easier for you.#4) Make sure when putting the board on that it locks into place, you have to tilt the front up and the back should snap into place once the slider bolt receiver holes are lined up with the holes on the assembly.#5) Don't be intimidated by having to wire tap into the OBDII Port as some list as difficult, it is not. Once you release the two bolts mounting it under the dash, it drops to expose the wires. The taps they give you don't require you to cut or splice into the wire at all, they are called posi-taps, look them up to see how they work, but it just pokes a small metal point into the wire for contact, that's it.#6) Running wire from battery to driverside the easy way is to drill 4 holes in the plastic that lines the top right under the windshield wipers then use zip ties. This keeps it off the engine and gives you enough slack to actually reach the led/motor positions.#7) You run the cables down the wheel well, both sides have an opening that you can literally just drop the cables down through pretty easily just don't forget to zip tie everything in both the engine compartment and underneath. On the passenger side there's not much to zip tie too so we bought big zip ties that go around the frame and zip tied it on top of the frame. Driver side has other wiring you can zip tie it too.#8) Don't be afraid to contact customer support. Though I bought these on Amazon, the manufacturer was incredible and made a customer for life with me. They answered quickly, were American, and were quick to solve an issue that was my fault...and yet did so at their expense.#9) Buy this package over the standard if you can afford it. Stronger running boards are good with crew cab because they cover more space between the mounts, and dual motors means less wear on them both.#10) Most torque specs are fairly light, 22lbs, 16lbs, and less....these can all be reached by hand pretty easily, don't overtighten anything. Also when instructions say inch-pound, and not foot-pound...that's a snug twist with the screwdriver and that's it.#11) Have some extra wire and wire splicers on hand for the LED's (red/black), a heat gun too would be best, but electrical tape to guard the connectors works too. Need zip ties, regular size and 2.5-3ft ones.#12) Floor kick plate just comes up by prying, just do it evenly as to not break any clips. Running wire up through the floor on the crew cab already has a grommet, but non-crew cab will need to drill a hole and use the grommet included in the kit. Their grommets are easy to install but something like an ice pick or small screw driver will help.Quality was top notch on well...everything. The parts, the engineering, the service. They thoroughly thought of everything exactly for this truck with this build, no customization on my part was needed and I don't think I could have made it any easier than they already did. Buy with confidence both in the product and the people behind it.

Installs just like in the videos - one note if you are a 2020 onward superduty owner
The media could not be loaded. Installing on a 2021 Ford F250 SuperDuty 4 door cab.Arrived quickly, its a big heavy expensive box maybe don't leave it sitting in the driveway all day.Everything packed nicely, we watched all the videos on the web - it turns out none of the videos we looked at were from AMP. Other folks did videos of the install.Only bump in the road we had is that for a Ford (2019 maybe) 2020/2021 there are FOUR wires you have to connect to the OBD2 connector. This wasn't in any of the videos we watched because they were like for 2018 trucks. The two purple wires are easy and a no brainer to connect, the two other wires that have to be connected to two of the wires behind the plug. It wasn't real clear in the instructions on first read. We called customer support, waited for about 15 mins, a tech support rep answered and walked me through what needed to be done. There are two special connectors for piercing the two OBD2 wires that come into the back of plug. A little awkward to get to but we nailed it. Steps worked first time. This step isn't covered in any of the videos we watched. As it turns out, wiring the two LEDs on each side took as much time as it did to install the steps.Only been on the truck a week and everyone loves how much easier it is to get in the truck and I like how they tuck into the cab so you can't see them. Will update this a year from now.EDIT - one year later. 1-11-2022Steps working perfect, no issues, never not worked or hesitated. Can't even think of getting in the truck without using the steps.

Not as advertised
Said that it was plug and play and needed to be wired in.

I finally pulled the trigger!
I’ve wanting these steps from day one and Amazon had a good deal on them. I installed by myself. Took me three hours. Look great and they don’t get hot because they are tucked away when not in use.

Works on a 2022 F-250 with SYNC 3
Install isn't bad. About 4 hours to do. Wiring not that bad as long as you follow instructions. Hardest part was tapping into the 2 wires on backside of OBD II plug. Just because they are small and not a lot of room to get to them.

Installation
If you are doing the installation yourself, there are a couple of inconsistencies in their instructions IF you have a 2020 Crew Cab Long bed F250. The diagram showing location of the controller in the engine compartment shows the battery(ies) in the wrong location, meaning they would have you put the controller in the wrong location. The driver's side wiring harness is about 4"-6" too short so be careful when you route the driver side harness, otherwise, your lights won't be in the right location. The instructions for installing the Brake cable relocation bracket are wrong. The instructions call for relocating the REARMOST bracket. This is wrong. It is the next one forward, not the rearmost. We actually called tech support & they said it was the rearmost. I'm guessing it's likely that the long bed trucks have an additional bracket. If you insist on following the instructions, you will wind up moving the bracket. When installing the drive linkages, be sure to use the conical nuts with washers provided. I used the old running board nuts & wound up having to change them out. The instructions don't tell you to use those. Probably my fault & a small thing, but the instructions leave that note out. When installing the lights, we used heat shrink tube over the joints with the convoluted tubing rather than electrical tape. The electrical tails on the lights could be longer.I tried to find a way to leave feedback for AMP, but was unable to.This is our 2nd set of AMP boards. Materials are very good & boards work great.
