A great doghouse
This is a good value for the money, it has a shingled roof, and it is a very good heavy- weight item, I was really surprised, when it came folded, but this doghouse is very well made and is sturdy, it is the perfect size for a large dog, like my German Sheperd, it was outside in a Michigan winter and has made it through with no damage, so it is Weatherproofed. I would recommend, thank you!

Very nice for my outside cats! (and other critters)
The media could not be loaded. Love the insulator for the dog house. I actually have outside cats and bought the dog house for them. They love it in the winter time with the insulated liner to stay warm. I even had a racoon curl up in it for a few days!

Dog House
This product arrived quickly. I am 76 years old and with a dolly was able to put it in the backyard, take it out of the box and unfold the dog house all in 25 minutes. No tools required to set up the dog house. Super easy. Looks great in the backyard. Highly recommend.

Not a cold weather pet house - but very nice
I purchased the small size Eillo folding wood pet house for outdoor feral cats. It appears sizable for several cats, if they want to be in the pet house together.Pros: Very easy to assemble. Just fold out the sides, drop the bottom, and close the lid! Added feature is leveling feet for uneven surfaces. The unit is attractive and has a pleasant cedar fragrance, cute design, and sizable entry. The roof hinge system allows the top to swing open ~270 degrees for easy access/cleaning.Cons: The unit is not insulated and the wood is thin. Gaps at the bottom of the walls where they meet the floor will be "breezy". Although the finish is an attractive grey with white trim and sun motif, it is minimal and this will deteriorate outdoors in probably a season (depending on if the unit is protected or not).Suggestions:1. Insulate the unit for cold weather use. I used Pink Panther 1/2" rigid insulation on the bottom and lined the interior walls with double sided, reflective bubble type sheets. The rigid insulation was easily cut with a box cutter, while the reflective bubble type, flexible sheet was cut using scissors. Duck Tape sealed the seams. Any soft bedding (old towels, bath mat, moving pad, etc.) can be used for the occupants.2. The slightly angled roof is covered with 3 long shingles. It appears durable, but is untested. Covering the unit with a tarp may be beneficial depending on location (protected vs not protected).3. Spray or paint the exterior with a sealant to protect the finish and increase the life of the unit.4. The door opening to the small pet house measures 9 1/2" x 13" at greatest height. A clear, flexible, flap-type covering can be purchased according to other reviews for this product (Trixie brand). Verify door size opening prior to purchasing any type of covering.5. Struts to hold open the roof could be useful, if there is nothing near by to brace the top when it is open. I suggest two on either side rather than a single strut in the middle for the small pet house, so as not to interfere with the interior space.

Beautiful! Used for Cat
I love this dog house. My plan was to use this dog house for a litter box for my cat. I decided to put in a adhesive floor tile(peel and stick tile ) on the bottom so the litter would not fall through the little slots of wood on the wood floor. Well, it turn out so beautiful that we decided to keep it as a little house for her to sleep and eat in. I order the large which gave her so much room inside. We had room for her bedding, food, toys and plentify of walk space. The tile I got also on amazon. I brought 1 10 ft pack of tile and it was more than enough for the large dog house. Now, as far as using this dog house outside I would not recommend. The wood appears to be unfinished and it would be destroyed in the rain. The large dog house is big. However, I would not reccomend this dog house for a very large dog. They would not have much room to move around in. But the large dog house would be very nice for a medium size dog. Our cat is on the plus size and is all about her space. But for an average cat you could use the medium size house. I hope this helps.

Chicken House not dog lol
I bought this house for new toddler chickens who were ready to go outside but not merged with the older ones. It's easy to clean, put together, size was perfect, easy for me to handle and move around due to the collapse part, my babies comfort was great inside but being in a very rainy state I covered mine to help with weather protection.... I think even for a dog, you should have and additional coverage but in a drier area weather proof is good.

Delivery problem- never got item.
USPS didn't deliver the item and now it's to late. The item is too big for me to pickup, so I'm waiting for USPS to return it. This is a problem.

Charming but lacking craftsmanship
It’s big enough for our mid-large golden retriever, it has accessories that complement the base doghouse (winter wind liner, etc), and it’s fairly easy to set up if you are very careful and don’t damage the hinges or other parts that fold when opening the box. However, the fit and finish as well as the lasting craftsmanship has much to be desired especially at this price point. It’s just not that well made and things break on it easily. So, enjoy, it’s cute and it works, but it snaps and breaks very easily and all the pieces don’t fit perfectly.
