Q: Will the 73qt dz fit in the back of a jl wrangler (with room to spare - i have aftermarket cage)?

Yes but not much room to spare. They are pretty big. Room if you take the back seats out though

Q: Work with battery lithium

It will works Goal Zero yeti X a 500 runs it for about 24 hrs. I use the older yeti 1600 runs for about 48 hours.

Q: What is the angle the compressor shuts off at. I do a lot of rock crawling.

I would expect it could handle nearly 45°. I don’t rock crawl, but even with these tilting slides, I would expect I it to handle a good bit of lean.

Q: Will it automatically switch from ac to dc if both plugs are connected and ac power is lost? and switch back when power is restored?

Yes it will switch back and forth. If 110v is available it will run off that then if it drops 110v it will switch to dc 12v then back to 110 ac volts once 110 is restored
