Great for the price!
I ordered this in the midst of UK most recent heat wave. It was a spontaneous buy at 3am because I couldn’t sleep due to the heat. I am really pleased with the product and does the job. I’ve been able to sleep and get through the 30 degree Celsius heat at night! It is quite low so I’ve had to prop it up on a stool so it can blow onto the bed (see pic)Value for money: I got it for just over £83 which I think is fair. The fan is a extremely powerful and more powerful than my standard fan. Also, my standard fan was just blowing around hot air but the air cooler actually works at cooling the air! I’ve been using ice and additional ice packs along side the two ice packs that comes with it. The fact it serves as a humidifier also is a bonus.Ease of use: extremely simple to use. Fill with water, press the buttons and off you go! The water tank is fiddly to remove so it is easier to fill it with a jug keeping it attached to the machine. I opted for the manual version without a remote as I didnt want to pay extra for a remote than I knew I’d soon lose. I do like the ‘swift’ option which blows the air side to side.Noise: it’s quiet on speed 1 and 2 but it quite loud on speed 3. However, I don’t think it’s much louder than a standard fan on speed 3. I’ve been leaving it on speed 3 and sleeping through with no problem

Cooler than a fan but doesn’t cool a room down
.It doesn’t cool the whole room down but if you’re within distance to it, it’s lovely cool air, compared to a normal fan that just Blows warm air at you. A lot cooler than a fan, I used cold water from the fridge, ice packs provided plus some extras. You can add normal ice too. But it also works well with just normal temperature water too. It’s a good size and not heavy to carry, looks appealing. My only complaint is that the digital lights on top cannot be turned off as i bought for the bedroom, but can be solved by putting something over it. All in all, worth the purchase for me who has heat intolerance.

Useless
This product in my honest opinion is a waste of plastic and resources. It does very little to cool the air, the vents are quite frankly misleading since the air only comes out of a small rectangular cut out on the left. Yes that's right, if you zoom in on the third image, that tiny cut-out on the left is the only place air comes out from, the rest of the venting is just decoration and utterly worthless. The two ice packs they give you might as well be thrown in the bin, as they are not going to keep anything above a litre of water cold for longer than 30 minutes. However even with ice cold water straight from the freezer, with several ice packs, I found that this air cooler did nothing other than massively raise the humidity of my room from 50% to 70% and drop the temperature from 27C to 26.1C in the span of one hour. In other words, it just made the room feel way worse. It's also loud, the energy saving setting & sleep setting are completely useless and I have no idea why they even exist. All they do is make the cooler run at fan speed 1 for around 5 seconds before switching back to fan speed 3 for another 5 seconds, who on earth thought that is a good sleep setting? You're better off manually leaving it at fan speed 1 for the entire night rather than use the "sleep" setting.Actually scratch that, you're better off not buying this at all because it genuinely is useless. Invest in some bug nets instead for your windows (£10 max) and just keep your window open at night. Or spend the extra money and invest in AC, because all this product does is waste electricity and generate noise for no good reason. Will standing or sitting in front of this cool you down? Yes. But will it actually cool your room down? Maybe by about 1C whilst also increasing the humidity by 20%.

Over priced but better than a little fan
Essentially an expensive fan. When you're in the "blast zone" of the air it is quite cooling but it certainly doesn't cool a room down. I've tried adding extra ice etc. but it makes little difference. It's noisey, but I like the sound of a fan so that is kind of a bonus for me

Works great for me.
I don't know why this product has so many bad reviews. Is it an air con unit? No.Does it blow cold air?Yes.I tested this next to a tower fan my mum also paid £80 for.I filled my B&D Fan with cold water and set to the 2nd speed and my mums was running at the highest setting. This was much, much cooler.I prefer to add cold water, the ice packs and a large handful of ice cubes and this fan works wonders. It doesn't really cool the room down but we're in the middle of a heatwave right now, but this fan definitely keeps me cool when it's pointed towards me.Yes the fan is noisy on the 3rd setting, but I'd rather have a little noise than bake to death in my sleep.Little hint.Point the fan without cooling, towards the open door so it expels the warm air, and after a few hours, add water, ice packs and ice cubes and point it towards you with the cooling activated. It'll help you stay cool, it's doing that for me whilst writing this review.Pros:Blows very nice, cool air.Powerful.Humidifies and cleans the air.Large water capacity.Keeps you cool.Cons:Maybe a bit noisy for some. Not enough swing.A bit large and heavy, especially when filled up.

Notbad
Fairy large unit . Probably need to have this running constantly all day and refresh chill packs regularly to affect temperature of room by any noticeable amount . Fairly noisy on high power but i stopped noticing after awhile. Works best aimed towards you and is fairly cool so is more effective than a fan.
