I have mixed feelings about this mat. Love that it is organic/nontoxic, but wish it was a little bigger. I also think for the price the cover could be a bit less scratchy. It is pretty rough even after a few washes. Oh, speaking of washing, line drying this thing is a bit ridiculous. I'm guessing it says not to dry in a dryer because of the velcro? It's also a bit of a chore to get the cover on the mat and the mat isn't as plush and soft as I was hoping for. In the end, Im keeping it because there just aren't a lot of good options for nontoxic playmate and this is one of the better priced ones. I will say my baby seems to like it and she likes the bright colors and the panda on the cover.

Just got the mat today. So far...Pros:-Thick and comfortable to play on.-Really well-made mat and quality fabric cover-Love that it is so eco-friendly and safe for my baby to play on; no chemical smell at all-Cute designCons:-Cover is a bit big, so it slips a bit when baby tries to stand or crawl (maybe it will shrink in the wash?)-Kind of wish the cover were a material that would be easier to just wipe clean, instead of removing the whole thing to wash, but I guess that might compromise the "eco"ness of the product.-A bit expensive but worth it for the quality and safety-Cover only has design on one side (other side is just white)Also, they should make more cover designs so you can buy extra covers. I will probably make one.

We love the mat and feel so relaxed about it being non-toxic. Our baby loves to roll around and play on it. The only thing that would make it that much better is if it were thicker. If you have a rug under it you're good to go but we have a hard wood floor and our baby has tipped over while sitting and clunked her head. We will be ordering a rug for our floor soon so we should be good to go.

Very happy with this mat! The colors are bright and vibrant. Love that I can remove and wash the cover. It provides just the right amount of cushion for playing with toys without being overly squishy. I debated whether to buy this mat for weeks, because of the high price, but at the end of the day, I didn't want to buy a foam mat because of the potential exposure to chemicals. Wish I had purchased sooner. We use this mat everyday and take it from room to room. It folds up easily for storage or moving to another room. I wish they had other cover patterns to choose from, but I have a sewing machine, so I plan to make an extra cover, so I always have one while the other is being washed.

Glad we found panda mat. I was looking for a play mat for our son and came across all the information on how bad foam play mats are. As a concerned mom I went looking for a better option and it was hard to find something that was clearly safe. Panda mat seemed to fit the criteria. Now that we've used panda mat, I'm really happy with our decision. It's padded enough to cushion falls on our hardwood floors. It's a great size for play and it can always be folded up out of the way when not in use. I was worried it would move around like our play gym, but it stays in place and works like any other play mat would.

This is my first time review in my life. I am so happy that there is organic mat is existed in the market. This is exactly what I was looking for!! The insert is firm like foam mat and cover is so soft...I just wish that there had more choice of illustration design. First I washed in warm water and tumble dry warm as soon as I bought this item. However the cover shrunk and didn't seem to be fit. I was so freeked out. I fold the insert in half and managed to put the insert into the cover. Still it looks a bit tight but no problem to use it. so I learned lessen not to tumble dry warm since organic cotton is easily get shrink.

I bought five Panda Mats three years ago and adore them. However, the company has significantly changed this mat. The outer organic cotton covering is now the thickness of a sheet. The rest of the mat is a yellow polyester piece which goes inside the sheet. However, the yellow polyester "foam core" has a smell. In contrast, the original Panda Mat was thick, well made, and had no odor. Very disappointed that I can no longer order more of the original Panda Mats since I now need more with our now-mobile 10 month old on our hard wood floors.

BUGS IN BOX!!!!! Tons of brown marmorated stink bugs in the folds of mat! Mat was also unpackaged and had slight odor. Horrified to find not just one but DOZENS OF STINK BUGS throughout folds of mat. Save your money, terrible purchase! No regard for quality, hence no plastic around mat to guard against bugs and other unsavory elements you don't want in your house or in contact with your baby.
