This notepad is the perfect size and is super high quality. I love the layout of the pages with four sections of lines. I haven't tried to use the blank pages yet. The cover is great as is the band to hold it together. The pages are great to write on. I will definitely purchase this notepad again.

I love the format of a reporters notebook as a carry all the time / capture tool. Previously I used the Moleskine reporters notebook which is a good form factor but garbage for fountain pen Ink. Midori does great paper which doesn't bleed through and just feels good in the hand. The paper isn't wafer thin, it's robust and having rings means it's easier to write on as it lies flat. I am very impressed and happy I got this, it's a great pocket notebook.

I can't believe how much I've already used this memo pad in just one month! I really like the quality of Midori paper but was finding my full-size Traveler's Notebook a little bit cumbersome for everyday. I started carrying this pad around—keeping my tasks and schedule for the day in the lined front pages, my random notes and ideas in the second, unlined half of the notepad—and now I can't imagine in writing in anything else. As a Midori fan, I especially like how the design of the Travelers Notebooks is sort of "telegraphed" here, thanks to the elastic band and the real recycled-leather cover. Very sturdy, and a pleasure to take notes in.

Excellent paper and design. Only problem is the backing could be a bit thicker. But other than that, by far this is the best small notebook I've ever found. The paper is very smooth and high quality and fountain pen ink does not bleed through! That alone shows an unusually high quality paper. The copper spiral binding is close to perfect (it does bend slightly in my pocket) -- the paper does not accidentally tear out! My only criticisms are that the backing could be a little thicker. Also, I don't believe that the cover is real "leather, " Although it does "look" like leather -- the inside of it exposes it to be faux-leather. But these are minor things. This is the best small notebook I've ever possessed. Very excellent paper! I've just purchased my second one.

I consider myself a stationary snob, and this memo pad has been my tried and true memo pad for years. The paper can handle any writing utensil you throw at it. The cover and thick double back cover can take a beating whether you store it in a bag or your back pocket. While this memo pad might be more expensive than the one you could find anywhere, the number of pages and its sheer durability are worth the few extra dollars.

I really like these little notepads. They have great paper, as is typically with Midori products. The cover is very nice as well. This isn't a replacement for your Dollar store throw away notepad as the title says this is intended for permanent notes. The paper works well with any ink I've tried except "juicy" markers and for those that use them the paper is toothy enough for pencil use as well. Granted they cost more than most notepads that are commonly available but use one for your permanent notes and I doubt you'll want to use anything else for your important notes and drawings.

Very portable size, with strong elastic band and good quality paper. Each pad is a COMBO of lined and unlined paper, just fyi.

Best notepad ever! You'll never be embarrassed by a grubby little notepad again. This one shouts professionalism, and it's sturdy, good-looking, and just the right size for pocket or purse. I ordered two more after receiving the first one. It does take a little longer to get them, but it's well worth the wait. And worth the price.
