These are super easy to use, strong and great valve for money.A++++

Used these for setting up a series of horizontal parallel wires for training climbing plants over our fence. Set up the tensioners at set distances on one sturdy post. Fixed with strong screws. At the other end of the run set up eyelets for the other end of the wires. The wires were fixed onto the eyelets ,threaded through more eyelets for support, and back to the tensioners. Threaded the wire through the hole in the tensioner, wound the ratchet and gently tightened the wire. Brilliant. The wire can be released if you lever the ratchet back towards the tension fixing, to disengage it from its slot, and then unwind. Takes a little practise to insert the wire and wind, but once mastered, very easy.

Just the job for tension wires with a chain link fence. Expect to add some more tension in about 6 moths which will be easy.Used a normal spanner to tighten initially but found it necessary to use some long handle grips to get the tension. Next time I will find an adaptor for a socket spanner with ratchet to make it easier.
