2 Piece U.s Army Retractor Surgical Instrument

Have a medical background and knew of this instruments' existence. Bought them for car repair. They are much more gentle on hoses than prying with the screwdriver ext. 👍

Heavy duty, high quality retractors, strongly recommend

My wife and I are prepsters but not fanatical about it. We've both been through ice storms, power losses and she had to meet a national guard truck for about two weeks, daily, for fresh water after a hurricane's inland impact. I am an experienced outdoorsman in hunting and fishing. There is game and fish around us.Bottled water, canned goods, candles, camping stoves/lanterns etc. I've always known the importance of being prepared. Medically speaking we've added various guazes, dressings etc. Sutures, hemostats/forceps etc. We got this retractor set to add to our growing emergency "medical kit."These instruments seem a bit rugged and not a smoother surface as expected. That's my only "knock" and would've preferred giving them a 4.5 star rating. That being said they seem to be sturdy and well manufactured. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them as to cost and sturdiness. It would not surprise me to see rioting and civil disorder that would affect parts of the country. We've seen this in this country and more recently with groups blocking federal interstates which could disrupt food supplies and emergency services.Hopefully, my granddaughters will inherit our "preparations" unused. Though teenagers, they "get it", to be prepared and to improve your self reliant skills and knowledge. You'll probably never need these. But go ahead and add or start your emergency surgery kit and knowledge.
