I saw that this item had glowing reviews and decided to buy this item because of the glowing reviews over other lava malas that were sold, that cost less. So, I was surprised to receive it and immediately felt that it wasn't of good quality, not only because it's labeled as Made in China, but, the material, feel and design of the product was subpar. A few days after owning the product, the tassels began unraveling. I thought it would be just a few, but the whole thing began to fall apart.The good thing is that the seller was very apologetic and refunded me, but I still think the description of this product and its quality is misleading. It isn't handcrafted or homemade as the description might lead you to believe. It seems like a mass marketed product from China in which the materials/lava rock/crystals may or may not be authentic and or of the highest quality. I would not recommend.

This is not a Mala Beads necklace, which would require 108 beads total. This is a necklace made of lies. It doesn't smell like sandalwood as many have mentioned in reviews, because it is actually plastic and has a chemical odor from whatever they coat the plastic in, attempting to make it look like polished sandalwood. So if you want an actual Mala Bead necklace to use in your meditation this is not it. Of course, as well all know, you get what you pay for... so If you are buying just to have for a cheap looking necklace then have at it. Otherwise take a pass.

Don't buy this if you want real sandalwood with an actual smell. This necklace has no smell, but is some type of wood. I cut into a bead with a serrated knife so I know it is some type of wood. Just not sandalwood. It does have 108 beads and works well for meditation. So I suppose I'll keep it. At least I won't have to worry about losing it somewhere. Shame on the sellers for their lies. Karma will get them.

I am SO pleased with this mall! It's exactly as pictured, perhaps even more lovely in person. The sandalwood scent was obviously added to the beads and was a bit heavy at first. I love the scent but I did have to leave the beads hanging for about a day before I could wear them. But, I'm overly sensitive to strong scents and most people probably would not have an issue. If you're thinking about buying these beads I suggest you go for it! So lovely and fast shipping too!

This was a one in a 1000 purchase that warranted the effort to give a review. Excellent quality all around. More than I expected and the best bang for your buck I've seen between etsy and Amazon combined. I am truly grateful for the care in the craftsmanship. Whomever makes this offers much merit in their providing this product for this price. Thank you.

I usually carry them as a bracelet, they make 4 wraps around my wrist and stay on pretty well. The knots between the beads space them perfectly, making it much easier to move them through the hand than a set without the knots

Arrived in perfect condition. The sandalwood is fragrant and the mala is a good length. Knotting is sturdy.

I was disappointed in the color of the beads. They are not as pretty as the picture.
