Hallmark Birthday Card for Grandson - 3D Laser-cut Design

I was tasked with the job of finding a Grandson Birthday card for an adult, his Grandfather didn’t want ‘gushing sentiments’ on the card.My initial search showed cards describing the Grandson as:- Super, Special, Brilliant, Charming, Talented, Awesome, Wonderful, etc.I then added Hallmark into the search - this card is ideal, good quality, well made, reasonably priced and came with a lovely patterned envelope. Result!

This card does not open up conventionally. It is laser cut and I am a little confused as to the age group for which this card is designed. It is rather plain, has been laser cut ‘Just for you’, it is clearly addressed to a grandson but there are no other sentiments expressed other than ‘happy birthday’ in block capitals on the back. The matching accompanying envelope is very school age, complete with graph paper squares on which to write the address.The whole card looks like it is perfect for a distant grandparent to give to their grandson. There is no intimacy or shared jokes: it is quite impersonal, bland and nondescript.Nevertheless, this is a good quality card by Hallmark and it is classified as ‘letter’ size which means that it will take normal first or second class postage.

I would but this card again. it is very good quality and attractive

I found this ' Birthday Card for Grandson from Hallmark - 3D Laser-cut Text Design ' professionally made from high quality paper.I like unusual and modern 3D laser-cut design of this card and very cute envelope.Both match each other nicely and looks stylish.Good value for the money,recomend.

An interesting shaped card which is unusual in that it stands triangular and you would have to write your message on reverse of card as can’t write inside it. It has lettering which has been laser cut and is flattered by the colourful background behind it. It has a colourful envelope included which compliments the colourful card. However, personally I would be reluctant to pay £3.40 advertised for this as doesn’t really pop as much as I would have liked for such a unique shape.

This is a very nice high quality card, which should be used for special occasions as it is rather expensive for me, compared to other store bought cards.It fits well in an envelope with money on, but is a tiny bit bulky, but will easily for through the UK post as a letter
